It has been a busy last few days so forgive me for not providing detailed reports prior. Oh, where to begin.
The jump drive build is nearly complete. Lin and I took care of a good deal of the robotic hardware. I was using some of my old markers to run back roads out into Liberty for some of the specialty items. Which oh, reminds me. Add the name "Bluefin" to the dumbass report. First off, they can't even set their IFF correctly. And second, they must have been using after market cruise disruptors. They tried to stop me for some reason or another but by the time they got to me I was well within the defensive perimeter of Pueblo Station. My cloak detector was going off. It makes me wonder if they were running interdiction for somebody. The lifer lingered an annoyingly long amount of time before finally buzzing off. If I had my talon, the human gene pool would have been made smarter after a little light show.
I met an interesting girl outside of NSE today too. Tag named RV-Pennybrooke. She went by Katherine. I called her Kat and she didn't seem to mind. She sounds like a wealthier version of me. I admit that in my younger years I would have eyed up her pretty gunboat and stalked her until I found the keys to it. She helped me on one of the final runs of robotic hardware. Yea, where are those reimbursement vouchers? I threw some credits her way. At least she was good company, we didn't run into anything. I can tell she has been through some shit. I told her to linger around NSE and if she's looking for work we'll pick her up.
Ran into one of the HRZ boys. He was out hunting Corsairs. Unfortunately for him there weren't any around. I threw some credits his way in good faith. I still need to get ahold of Kurt about the deal. I didn't realize when I signed on to this deal that I'd be flying as much as I have. Don't get me wrong, the credits are covering my creditors. I haven't even had the time to hang out in the lounge and get a drink. You guys are in high demand, must be good shit.
So those HRZ folks that we've been hearing about from the Omegas? Well, I faked an engine malfunction to speak with their leader. He goes by the name of Kurt. I can tell when somebody is some trigger happy lifer or a practical kingdom builder. This guy is smart and calculated, we can deal with this guy.
I initially proposed that we procure resources for his group in exchange for safe passage. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it looks like resources is not exactly what they are after. They are after equipment. What and how much, I'm not sure yet. If we can convince him to leave NSE ships alone in exchange for equipment, at cost, we both have something to gain. We'll still make a little profit and we won't have to pay tolls both in blood or credits.
I'm asking the board's permission to head this up. We have an outstanding comm from them by way of the Ithaca channels. It's a known pirate stronghold with allegiances to nobody. We get on good terms with the Black Hearts, it goes a long way toward slicing into other markets. Dealing with these people is high risk, but it's also high reward. Speaking of, I'm increasing the encryption level. Sorry that the upload will have to take longer, we can't risk getting in trouble with the feds. Just in case...

We received some information about this newborn organization named "Die Schwarzen Herzen" known in intelligent traffic systems by the tag HRZ~ and they are mainly pirates from different origins. I am afraid to say that some of them are former Rhineland military officers.
Coming from Ithaca means that this group belongs to the main piracy stream operating around the Liberty, Rheinland, and Omegas realms. We have no problem opening full-scale negotiations with those pirates to achieve some deal that profits the NSE interests in the first place. We would like to remind them that we have our own security wing which protects our interests, especially against extortion. The members of the board decided to assign you, Mr. Anderson, to establish a negotiation common ground with the HRZ~ pirates.
The board members would like to know more details. What is going to be the price required for the free tolls and for how much time? We would like to have the longest time possible and for the lowest costs, so good luck negotiating that with them. I will wait for any replies from you to update the board members about this issue. The repetitive piracy acts should be stopped during the negotiations, which is the least we expect as a start for good relations.
It is a very good decision to increase the encryption level for these transmissions, and I want to inform you that we have one of the most secure communications systems around the Sirius sector which were built by professionals. Good luck with your next moves.
I have been talking with the HRZ leader. His name is Kurt Weinbaum. Their request is a Jump Drive MKII and 5 docking modules. I have to admit that I'm scratching my head on what they are planning with that equipment. But a deal is a deal. I went ahead and ran some numbers, attached below is the cost for NSE to produce the equipment Don't mistake me for a pencil pusher, math is important when pushing cargo outside of the trade lanes.
I'll let you guys talk and figure out how much to charge them. I assured them a steep discount so don't give me a number that I'll lose my head over. I'm not joking.

I have no idea what are they planning to do with such high-tech equipment, but it seems that they are equipping something which will do some impact. I checked and revised the calculations with the crafting department, and concluded that the sum of required credits will be 252,000,000 for the (x5) docking modules, and 140,500,000 for the Cloak MK II device, so adding a small profit to the costing price, will be 450,000,000 to be paid for the Nebula Technologies bank.
I understand that you spent great effort dealing with the HRZ~ pilots, so if this deal is done at 450,000,000 then the board will hand you 25,000,000 as a bonus incentive for your efforts. I wish you the best of luck establishing this deal successfully. We also would like to know when would be the start of the three months deal, so mark with them the time in detail, please.
