Are you kidding me? You're making this big of a deal out of someone using the right term to describe a certain ethnicity? Give me a break. If you want to call your faction one thing, fine. However, that doesn't make anyone who doesn't spell it right a racist. I'm getting the feeling that you're going much too strongly on the race card here.
If you want to make a big deal out of something, make it something worthwhile. An improper writing of a name is definitely not something important; it happens to everyone. You don't see me whining every single time someone calls me Overlord instead of Overload.

Perhaps that means that the HAF are actually working for the Outcasts? After all, it was only those people that took to the escape pods (and ran out on their brothers like cowards) that became the Corsair nation. The ones that stuck it out ON the Hispania are now the Outcasts...
Hmmm - maybe these guys should actually be CAF - Crete Armored Forces, since they really don't represent all Hispanics, or the original Hispania? Then they could be Cretans, or Cretonians.
Or they could just quit whining about the whole thing and actually try to RP - which I HAVE seen some members of the HAF trying to do. It does seem to me that the actions of only a few are tainting the experience of the many - and this in a (still) unofficial faction.

Some of you guys are giving it totally different meaning, God knows why.
Calling a person or group of people with same or similar ethnic background, with the name of that ethnicity is not racial per se.
Calling an FACTION with the name of the ethnicity that you know most the faction members belong to can or could be extremely racist. And me as other members of that faction that actually belong to other backgrounds would not join that faction. Got it?!
At appears that this was not the case now, but my intention was to clear this out once for all in order to prevent it from happening. Why?
So that in the future we could distinct insult from unintentional grammar mistake.
The fact that a country, ethnicity and Roman/Latin name for a region share very similar names (so do the sleeper ship name and faction name) is matter of semantics and semiotics and it would take whole new thread (if not forum) to discuss that. This topics name is ''faction name'' and my post clearly explains it's purpose.
Do not take discussion to entirely new direction . If you feel the need to discuss about HAF, judge it, or even insult it do it in an separate thread of your own.

I'd have to agree with that. The term Hispanic isn't racist or insulting in the slightest. The corsairs, including the HAF, are of Hispanic background.
