Before we put this one to bed, The Lane Hackers do not have Admirals, Vice Admirals or usually any
military ranking. They are the geeks of the pirate world if you read up on their history. Militaristic values
would conflict with their commerce hacking ethos. Basically, it doesn't fit.
Hoodlum
Some say he is a proud member of: "The most paranoid group of people in the Community."
Well, I guess it done then, but you still cant stop me from making it an unofficial one.
Geeks they may be, but when using Military class vessels, like the spyglass, there should be ranks.
Actually with that attitude we really can stop you making it unofficial. rule 1.2 covers that eventuality nicely. If we get complaints from the Liberty lawfuls rest assured we will disband the 369th quicker than you can blink.
And Niezck is right the Spyglass is a recon ship not a warship.
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
I am really sorry, but i must have made the wrong impression. I am not trying to do anything bad. If you really all are so against it, then I wont even try.
Thank you then, and you may close it down, as I said, theres no real reason to try this on my own.
But you may see some [368th] ships around....Not right now, but I will not abandon this idea.
Quote:5. Lane Hackers - Saronsen was it? We have him and some of his buddys active, and the two factions, from which I usually see only the hellfire legion active. The lane hackers are not active.
The Lane Hackers are very active, you just fell into our little scheme of being REAL covert. Lane Hackers don't use "LH~" faction tags for anyone above Trainee level. Only recruits and trainees are visible, rest of the folks are listed on the roster but not tagged.
Reason: preventing PvP abuse, especially in the past year it has proven as useful. "Oh hey there's some LH in system X, let's go ..." without any need for a previous encounter, abusing ooc knowledge (lawful characters do not know our roster)
So that's how we get stealth - we don't go looking for direct conflicts and we don't need a military structure (which is often a burden, over-organizing things and needlessly forcing other people to do as you please even though they're here to have fun) Not to mention the paperwork.
No need to talk about this any longer, as you all made your point.
It was just an idea, well it was a plan really, but the reason I wrote this all, was to see, what people think about it. Thats the reason why I asked for feedback anyway, so thank you.
Still, As I said. You may see some [369th] tagged ships around. They for sure are going to be flown by me, because no one wrote me, no one wrote me with intensions to join that is.
Edit : PS : I was not trying to replicate the HF, but nevermind. Please close this down.
They said it with negativity, ignoring the fact all factions were once in a position like yours.
Stay with it, nurture it. start by thinking of something missing from your area, Liberty, in this case. Start with that, then slowly evolve it. See past people's flames, to their core suggestions.
The ability to take criticism is the most important in a faction leader, something a lot of us have forgotten. Me as well up until someone reminded me a few days ago.
