Do not act like you were not busy.
I will have to pass on the date suggestion. The new diplomatic reality is troublesome, would you not agree? Facing closed doors within Kusari, the Liberty-Crayter military operation within Inverness. No way to amend ties to Bretonia on the horizon and just a matter of time until Rheinland kicks you out too.
Raven. No, Sapphire. Why are you still doing this? Why are you clinging to the Technocrats? You, she.. Hunt, you don't have to stay, right? I know your involvement with all these grim matters but do they necessarily mean you have to stick to them? They never appeared to be of much aid to you in all honesty. It was always just you, Hunt or your direct friends and foes. Are there no alternative ways, like say choosing a path similar to Von Goeben, a path with less obstacles created by Sirian reality? I doubt that you even consider leaving them but I wish to understand why you choose not to.
The Technocracy is my home, in a way, it is my child, my family. And an extension of the will of my blade, even if they' have changed over time... The ideals I pushed out there for people to follow are still an echo within there. There is a mission to fulfill, and the Houses... -- ... Sanae. The Houses <do not care> that their very existance could be threatened right now. All they care about is profit. Here, I have labs, I have ~all~ the data I could want, the tools, with no Houses meddling in affairs, no care for shareholders. And no expectations, barring the only one in ensuring that everyone remains safe.
These ""grim matters""? They are an inevitability across the Sector. The Houses, simply, desire control of it. Of course they do. Profit and power, Sanae. And they want to play it too safe. That's why they are far behind in this little quest for knowledge. All the risks I have personally taken have given great boon. It's with this risk, for duty, that I give our future generation a better chance.
Heh, the Crayter-Liberty front was repelled back. They weren't here for us, they're afraid of the ""grim matters"" in question. Do you really think that they'll attempt to control you? Did Kusari do that when the Golden Chrysanthemums took refuge in Bretonia? Heheh. These Houses, they're too shattered, exhausted and distracted to care. Bretonia? Too busy worming up to Rheinland in hopes of their mercy. Their pride is distracted by the Dublin scenario, and will soon face the wrath of the Corsairs. Oh, how I do love consequences from mistreating your own people.
And... I do not understand why your people are... startled by this. Was it not unclear that our peoples homes did not have an official line? The Directorate's official stance is neutrality, but there is still a lack of appropriate diplomatic ties. From what I hear. As far as I can see with mission statements, Kusari is to be left alone out in the field - no hostile action intended, but the intended offering of gold has yet to be - well... Verified by Kusari. Which that has more than likely been overlooked by now.
Mmmm... If it was not for my home, I would have not got as far as I have. And it is due to this diligence that I have come to an understanding regarding certain technologies having an impact on the sector. And with that being said; You are going to be dealing with these more exotic affairs in the coming times. Especially after your new toys.
Don't assume as to what is going on behind the closed doors, there is much more going on than what you're aware of... Unless... That Kusari is interested in our little bidding war we've been prodding around in the intel world? I bet Kusari would be very interested in what Rheinland has been doing, as well as Liberty's little situation, hmmm?
We have quite the ample ~front~ regarding the alien matters at the moment. Majority of the alien sites, possible sites, and potential 'anticipation field' zones. None of this is in vain, despite how they push out propaganda to stop us. Pathetic efforts on our foes behalf, truly.
But I have to wonder; what is it that you really want from me? If I go solo, right now, I will be good as dead. And I will not be able to continue my mmm... research and data gathering as effectively. Or even receive my appropriate medication to survive.

Just as anticipated.
You want me to be honest? Fine by me.
The diplomatic shift is a mere consequence of bureaucracy, Naval Forces and other shenanigans trying to prove some point. I am half-convinced that is partially to try and bait a reaction out of me. See, it is not even that they aim to open fire on Technocract vessels. It is just to show Bretonia and Liberty that "annoying worms meddling into affairs they should not" are not welcome either, right? However, I am glad to see you do not give them a proper reason to detain and question you just yet by actually meddling into our affairs.
But back to the developing situation. I do apologize my choice of words but "grim" just summarizes it somewhat well without being dramatic. You are right about the Houses. You are right about control, power, desires, leeway. Call it how you wish to. I am well aware that our expeditions into the fields of stabilized rifts is peculiar and attracts attention. Do you think we dismiss reports about LSF at our borders? Do you think we dismiss sightings of Rheinlanders as far as Sigma-13 again? No, no. We know very well how this will attract even their attention in one way or another.
You mentioned a bidding war on information. Interesting avenue you take there, I would not have expected such a move. You realize it will just reinforce the cycle of constant rivalry, spite and suspicious, right? But do tell me just for the fun how much that would even cost me. All your information on Rheinland and Liberty endeavors. And how much would I have to pay for any bits of data about Kusari to end up on my lap, as physical copy? I am quite honestly curious if there is something they keep from me.
Ooo-ooo-oooh... I'm not so sure about putting the bullseye onto your back. I wouldn't want to put you directly in harms way if your spooks at the table want to hide things.
But to get your interest, I have scientific data of a certain rumored experiment that went on behind the doors in Rheinland. Infact, I was present for it too. They wanted me to assist in it, as you may recall. A part of my knowledge is involving the proximity of a Nomad experimental facility near Rheinland, genetic materials retrieved from them, some equipment, scans of alien sites, relics - including the newly active one within Liberty. As well as some minor information regarding a project of theirs they have behind their own doors. As well as their newer experimental Battlecruiser.
But the Buro has been... Less than cooperative lately. And it's something I wish to... see where the matters are at. I don't betray nor break my vows that easily.
For now, that can wait. A little while. Not until I get confirmation on where Buro are going to stand in the upcoming wars.
We will all need to pick a side in the upcoming times.

Hmm.
I recall your stories about Rheinlands.. experiments. A shame you remain tight lipped on details but I guess, appreciated for not trying to get me too involved? And I get it, I would not break my promises easily either. I haven't in regards to you, for example, despite questions that were raised in the past. As for Liberty's newest military asset, thank you, I already heard rumors about KOI analyses. Our own project should not be unknown to you, although it is less ambitious. It is hard to improve on near perfection.
As for my own people and potential secrets, go ahead and spill it out. If I had a target on my back, they would have to try very hard to reach me and make it look like an accident. I have made a few powerful friends here, you see.
And before you ask again. You. I was trying to understand where you stand and why. If we were to meet in the future, it would need to be quite more discreetly and I wanted to offer you an actual safehouse in Kusari this time. A house for Mayari to lay low or escape everyone else if she needed a breather.
That better be important then. And why did you.. no, do I even want to know what that first message was meant to be?
So what is it? I am a little pre-occupied here.
Are you... At a party? What are you wearing? What are you doing to your hair? Very intriguing. I like your top.
Fine. I'll be quick. I need to know if there's been any sightings of major warforms or other moderately sized Nomads, or even little ones, around in Kusari as of the late?
