If you ask me, the terms "Benitez Family (one of the ruling families in the Council of the Dons)" and "Medici Family (powerful, possibly ruling, family from Florence, Renaissance Italy)" should imply some similarity between the two governments.

Either way, if the Italians had a sleeper ship, it was probably destroyed and they went off on the Hispania while the French were left to fend for themselves (which could explain why Gallia hates the Houses). If the Italians didn't have one, then they probably went on the Hispania anyway. I think it's been established that the Hispania contained Mediterranean colonists, not just Spanish.

Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams
Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction
Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid
Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space
Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits

Liberty and Nomad Backstory, Very interesting - read it!

Benitez is Hispanic, not Italian. Medici? Is this from vanilla?

Pretty sure it is. If you read the Outcast news, they do mention certain families in the Council gaining power. I may have gotten the name wrong, but you got to admit that this does imply a very close similarity between the two.

To the grave if I must
Because it’s flag that I love
And a flag that I trust

Netherlanders had other opportunities, they didn't have to build their ship. They could board on Bretonia, Rheinland or even Gallia.

There is lack of Australia ship. They probably flew some different direction, because they like big empty space and they wanted to be far from others.

If anything we'd be on the Kusari, there's some irony for ya! (WWII, Japs attacked Darwin:D)

Guys, do you ever read our in-game news?

Quote:No trustworthy information is present right now about the origins of the Gallic house, since our records indicate that the French sleeper ship was destroyed along with Italian and Australian sleeper ships prior to the day when Liberty, Bretonia, Kusari, Rheinland and Hispania launched from Jupiter. Records of the destruction show no possibility of rebuilding or repairing the ship, especially considering the fact that later the Coalition took the whole launch facility under its control.

That's what Discovery says. Officially.
