Good show everyone!

One very small minor gripe. The Discovery map jpg still shows New Hampshire instead of Duesseldorf.

Flying under radar.

Congratulations on finishing the mod.

Now , I wish to know what exactly does "Final release" mean ? I thought that with the updater , new ships , commodities and balance issues can be sorted/added , without the need to wait an year or more for a new release of the mod.

final release means that this is some sort of a milestone for now. - a point of return. - everything in it has been tested , balanced and approved.

but yes, we do have the updater. - the updater can be used for minor changes - bugfixing - emergency adjustments.

but that final release contains what was meant to be finished for 4.85. - take it as a psychological line. - in fact, developement is never ending. - ideas for "after 4.85" have started long ago.

important is that factions that want to establish a business now know that the universe isn t all everchanging at that point and that they can actually start now. - ( like miners that can now choose their mining grounds etc )

Try looking down, then left.

The main download was slightly altered just now. You DO NOT need to download.

- Fixed Colonial Remnant faction description.
- Removed restriction to enter Alaska from all Liberty ID descriptions (this matter will be regulated by server rules).
- Changed description of The Wild faction.

You can patch your previous download as well:

1) download this file:
http://igiss.net/files/discovery485patch1.zip
2) unzip the archive into your Freelancer installation folder, overwrite the files (EXE\Discovery.dll and DATA\initialworld.ini).

Fix is clientside only, so it's optional. I also corrected the 2nd link (discoveryfl.com > igiss.net) of the main download announcement.

So "updates" and changes can still occur , without waiting for the next mod ?

pretty much, yes eternal. still, as jinx stated, its like a milestone for everyone, the mod team, the admins, the players. after extensive beta testing, the final release of 4.85 is like saying "Thats is, all the changes made are permanent, bring on the next wave!" type of thing

Greetings boys, prompt that it is necessary to make that from old version 7 back to return on 4,85? In advance thanks, and извените for if not on a theme =\

The most terrible weapon is the infantryman, and if the infantryman the guerrilla. It is even more terrible for the enemy. Guerrilla war has carried away set of lives of enemies which even were not known that by them under a sight.

P.S. And you in it are involved
