I usually ask for 500k, 250 if they're a small one. One mil I save for the large ships, and I only ask for 2 million rarely, or if I don't like the guy that much.
' Wrote:For 5000 cargo hold..my magic word is 4 milions...3600, and less is 1-2 milions...But you must choose wisely what trader will be atacked..Funny is to demand 500 k from trades hip who is full with Wine..Because his cargo worths 15 milions..If he wont pay 4 milions..he will lose 15...:)
His cargo is worht only 2 millions at best, my friend.

Welcome to Disco 4.85
What? Wine sells at around 2.5k I think, if not more. In a 5k transport that's a cargo value of 12.5 million. Seeing as how it would have been bought at about 500 credits per unit or less, your maths has confused me considerably.
When In Omega 3 I ask for 500k, almost always get paid.
Tried to be greedy yesterday in California, asked for 2 million, ended up in a fire fight, trader ship docked and I had 200k worth of repairs to me bomber (his was probably a million though as it was a liner)
Right, yes. Sorry, looked like you were referring specifically to the wine example. Not everyone flies the biggest ships, but that just means an alteration in the demand.
Personally I demand everything from bats, bots, guns, shield generators, ordnance, armour upgrades and cargo (up to all of it) to credits (up to about 3 million). You'll get the big demands if you've run before, shot at me before, called in the law on me before, or if I really really really hate you (in RP of course). Everything is negotiable, apart from the things that aren't, and that's for me to decide
5k of deuterium = 5M or dai ! (gerald don't mind the zoners, they're rich men and rich men don't need more money)
5k of cardamine = 5M or dai ! (yes, gerald stops the cardamine too !)
5k of artifacts = gimme some ! (gerald loves shining things, even if he don't know what it is:))
5k of almost anything else = 2M or dai !
And then I make it propotionnal to the size.
On my hacker it's a bit different since I usually use my transport, but making drop 3400 cargo happen a lot of times. The LH have also their expert techs. That's why Phate success in "5milordai" thing:)
I'd have to agree with this. These days I'm on my trader more than my pirate characters and I generously throw out 500k worth of credits to the guy with the funny name, but if a pirate says 2 mil, I'll usually try to talk him down or run away.
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."
