Quote:I'd argue that Privateers are doing exactly the same thing as Blood dragons: Screwing with Samura's powerbase. Goals might not be the same, but the practice is the same. Why should they fight?

Because not only are they destroying Samura, they are also destroying Kishiro, whom the Blood Dragons don't attack. Should they somehow win the war, then the Blood Dragons will have to fight them off. In Bretonia, of course, they would be neutral. In Kusari, its a different story..

Also, I thought I'd let everybody know why I posted this:

The only two arguments i've ever come across by the KNF against the BD are:

We ally with dirty, female drug addicts - This I can handle, because its true. I have a few arguments back anyway.

We are dishonourable in "allying" with Bretonia - This I can't, because its not true. There have been a number of times which I have chosen not to attack Bretonians in Kusari, but this is because I am unsure of this matter.

This is why I'm attempting to clarify...

<strike>Uhm!!!
Those are complaints against the GC, who're a whole different bag of fish, and very much different from the BD, who we've been speaking of. (also, actually outright allies with Bretonia)</strike>

Nevermind. its farr to late, I'm going to bed.

I know. Thats what I tell them EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!! But it happens far too much.

Due to the fact that most people would think we are dishonourable if we did not attack Bretonia, wouldn't they be hostile?

That's why I usually deal with it on a case by case basis. If I see the QCP or whoever attacking Samura, FA, or Hogosha - good for them. If I see them attacking Kishiro or the GMG, then I'll step in to defend Kusari. I don't think I've ever outright allied with Bretonians. I mostly just look at them with indifference, unless I see them posing a threat to BD interests.

Sure the BD would love to see the current Kusari government fall, but not if them falling meant them also being replaced by Bretonian overlords.

So on your list? I'd say neutral.

I'd think it would be a "Stay out of the way, but if push comes to shove, quite unfriendly" sort of thing. I mean, sure the current government is bad, but what would the Bretonians do to Kusari? They don't understand the culture and they're not too keen on trying.

Trying not to intervene is probably the best move for the BDs. Kusari is doing fine on their own in the war and the QCP is only showing that the current government is inadequate. Nothing really bad in the situation, just sit back and watch the fireworks.

Wise words.

Yeah, I'd say neutral. Case by case like pipboy says, but mostly, at least right now, they're not really going to meet each other are they? Bretonians are rare enough in Tau-31, and Blood Dragons are rare enough in Kyushu. Sure they might meet QCP, but they're hardly representative of Bretonians diplomatically. There's good sides and bad sides I guess, but it doesn't seem like the two factions are really affecting each other enough to make a deal out of it just yet.

It seems to me that it's similar to the LWB and Outcasts. While there is a lot to dislike from both sides, in the vast majority of cases, it's a moot point. You can postulate many different scenarios, but how often do the two actually meet up? I think the Privateers are a different matter from the official Bretonians, though, which probably makes a difference. And the times they do meet, they're probably both busy.

So I'd say on the low side of neutral, but less for politics and more because their interests aren't crossing much in the present Sirius.

True, but it'd be good PR kicking them out. If they were caught assisting QCP or any Bretonians they'd lose a lot of brownie points.

' Wrote:Very true that the Blood Dragons hate the empire, but I do believe the BD wants to win the "Hearts and Minds" of the Kusari people . . .

And, for this reason, I believe the Blood Dragons would fight along side of anyone to accomplish this goal . . .

. . . as long as it is to their benefit . . .

I'd agree with that, well, unless it went against one of their traditions/morals/standards/whatever.

That'd be about it.

They'd barely meet, but if they did meet, it'd be done depending on what's going on. Over-all, they'd have a very tense relationship but neutral, erring on the side of caution and hostility. If they were friendly or tolerant, the Hogosha'd have a huge dig about it, which wouldn't be helpful in any way.

This is my signature.
