' Wrote:Well, just happened to be looking at some computer games when I saw this. Never heard of it before and it was selling for about $20 at the time. It looked awesome! That was back in '03 I believe. Didn't have internet at the time, but finished the SP story and logged countless hours on SP. I was cruising the net looking for good mods to download and voila, I found Discovery. Played SP on that for a while too, I think it was 4.79 and 4.81. Then I looked one day and saw 4.84 and it was just released. Downloaded that and have had a home ever since.
Still haven't changed my answer. :P
You ask me why Im weary, why I cant speak to you.
You blame me for my silence, say Its time I changed and grew.
But the war's still going on dear, and theres no end that I know...
And I cant say if were ever...
I cant say if were ever gonna be free.
Well, I played it waaay back when it came out, burned through the single campaign. Loved it. Recently got back into it becuase of a new MMO that's comming out that seems to play just like freelancer (i'll be damned if I can remember the name though, the last thing I need is another mmo, hah.), dug out freelancer and googled freelancer servers and Disco came up as number one with the most players. So I gave it a shot. And here I am. yay
Game: TVTropes (Disclaimer: Thexare accepts no responsibility for ruined productivity), Random Page.
Mod: Search for Freelancer servers. Lately I do that before I even finish PC games... have more fun that way though. Stumbled on another server using this mod (under a different name...), and eventually hopped around a bit and found my way here.
While searching through the microsoft website I saw the trial version of freelancer.
Played it first, thought it sucked ,played it out of bordom again and didn't get off of it for a year.
Then I got smart and finially bought the game ,and completly played through it.
Then by chance I found discovery mod.
I was looking around the video games section of my library and I saw Freelancer, so I decided to try it. I instantly fell in love with it.
As for Discovery, I honestly can't remember. I think I was on Lancers Reactor (back when it was still good) and I found a link to moddb.com, so then I looked around and found the Discovery Mod. As for how I got on Lancers Reactor in the first place...maybe I saw the website in a walkthrough or I just found it on Google.
