Macdeath wipped his forehead with his coat sleeve. It was boiling in the cockpit, but that's normal when you park your ship close to a sun. They were the coordinates Salazar had given him, and Macdeath found the location a good idea. He doubted there would be many patrols near the sun, and he was sure the Police and Armed Forces doubted any hostile ships could get to the sun without being detected.
He was about to question if he had used the ships navigation systems correctly when he saw what he was waiting for. The Immortal Hunter. Rumours were the shadow cast from the large body of the ship could turn a station to dust in an instant. That the weapons were as accurate as a laser but as devastating as an asteroid. All rumours created by Salazar to spark fear within the people. But as the Immortal Hunter approached Macdeath began to doubt they were only rumours.
He could see the ship in great detail now. The ship was decorated with a pattern of black and red, possibly symbolising the blood of those he had killed. The ship was massive, he had never seen such a starcraft before. The cruise engines gave off a red glow and left a red cloud in its wake, as if the ship was bleeding and was leaving a trail of blood.
The ship was two thousand metres away now, and suddenly the cruise engines stopped propelling the ship forward and the starcraft was silent. The ship was given Salazar's nickname. Salazar was infact from Earth, but as the Sleeper Ships departed his statis pod malfunctioned. He was trapped in silence for 800 years, couldn't move, couldn't blink, couldn't sleep. All he could was wait.
When the Sleeper Ships arrived, he blamed the Bretonians and swore revenge. The science behind the theory is not yet proved, but the chemicals used to place a person in stasis now preserved his body. He was now 1600 years old, and his anger against the Bretonians was still there. He was insane, and an insane mind could be a dangerous mind.
'Ah,' he began with, 'I am glad you came, I was afraid you would not arrive. Although the trip here was worth it, we have new prisoners.' Macdeath heard the cackle echo through the speakers aboard his Switchblade.
'Perhaps I should explain what I am, and why I have come to you.' Macdeath and Salazar spent the next thirty minutes explaining their seperate stories to eachother. Macdeath was truthful on most parts, there was still the plan that was to be kept away from human ears.
As Macdeath watched the Immortal Hunter depart, a grin once again crossed his lips. His plan was falling into place, soon he would be ready.
The Thane of Sirius had awoken.
