Holy Smoke, you really don't want to fly such a big ship. You can't really do much with a giant capital ship. 1) You can't stop smugglers, 2) bombers will DESTROY you dead, 3) fighting anything smaller than another capital ship will make people hate you for "PvP whoring."
Get a gunboat if you must fly a capital ship. If you use the right weapons and tactics, you can hold your own fairly well. The size is small enough to let you fight just about anyone on fair terms (now that you can't spam missiles). However, I've recently found that flying an Upholder bomber is way better than a gunboat, since they pack a huge cannon and are maneuverable enough to survive a fight with a fighter.
Another tip:
Do not fire on LSF or Navy if you're escorting a trader who tries to run through the Texas blockade. In fact, do not escort any trader dumb enough to try and run through the blockade in the first place.
It makes us angry.
If you're going to Role-Play as a Liberty lawful, please read the Laws of Liberty. Also, if you do get a capital ship, make sure you register it with Liberty factions on the forum.
Note: The Laws are horribly outdated. I poked kingvaillant to fix them but he seems to have succumbed to the RLMMF syndrome, namely Real Life Makes Me Forget. I'm gonna poke him again about it.
