Treewyrm Wrote:all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.
Avoid IV. Screws up the original story, incorrectly portrays the characters of Sirrus and Achenar, terrible gameplay, music, and acting. BUT still worth it if you feel you must know how the story continues. Still doesn't keep me from hating the game...
Play Uru and its expansions before you play V. Myst V was more of a way to tie up Uru after the online version died than it was a continuation of the original Myst story.
EDIT: Actually, I take it back about the music in IV. It was really cool, orchestral music (similar to Exile), but it just didn't seem to fit with the usual tone that Myst games are supposed to have. Also, everything that I say is bad about IV is just my own opinion, anyway. Though it is also the opinion of several other Myst fans...
