Gallia is fine as it is. It doesn't all have to be easy. What, we want a Liberty mk2? I'm personally rather happy about Gallia's current state. (They kinda ruined it with the /reset Gallia, but meh)

We don't need an influx of new people, we need decent new folks. Those who can count to 10 without exploding kind of people.

Warning : egostic opinion following.

Heeey, do not touch Gallia ! As a Sirian trader (whatever, we're all the same to them) what I like is that you are never sure you could survive it, and therefore each delivery in or out there require logistic (I mean : teamplay). This should not become an usual trade run like the others, and one do a Gallia run for the thrill rather than for money.

Furthermore, the more Gallia opens, the less it keeps it's mystery. Encounters are rare, that's why they are both feared and intruiging. The RP-o-meter per character in there is one of the higher of all Sirius. And where is the fun for a trader to claim : "hey, I just come back from Macon base" if anyone do the same ? Should it be just like : "Hey, I just come back from Denver" ?

Get people involved.

How?
Do it inRP.
Give people a REASON to go to Gallia.
Sponser some trade routes, place some bounties.

Don't just leave it up to the devs to make things better, do something yourself.

/signed I dont have a reason to go there but I like it the way it is.

I wouldnt mind seeing negotiations with the council a lil more actively now that would make life interesting u might even see more heat on the Royals:)

Edit: Sorry if I seem contradictory in the posts on this thread:)I'm seeing it from two points of argument and well both seem just as worth arguing for.

Another good Idea witch I will gladly put into life.

Lets conclude.
Thanks to your help dear Disco fans we got:
1) More in fourm RP ( treaties, stories, ect. )
2) More ingame RP with visiting traders
3) Sponsoring trade routes ( i.e. extra 500 SC per unit of some kind of cargo)
4) Placing bounties

I think that it will be enough to start doin' something in Gallia. New lets cut this treat and lets do some good RP in Gallia!

My answer to the thread:

Intergrate it better with the rest of Sirius.

Right now it feels like crossing a border, from RL to Hell or whatever...

It's like... a Molly in Rhienland. Doesn't quite fit in, though it's good.

I think Gallia is in the wrong place, like, it should be under the Nomad worlds, with paths to OC and Sair territory, the Sigmas, etc.

Too late for that now though :/

which, not witch.... (C'mon, Sovereign, where's the grammar nazi when you need him?

On the topic of Gallia, though - I have two different ships that venture in there. Both are traders - one that has a legitimate reason to be there - and one that's a freelancer making money from long cargo runs and bringing back esoteric materials to Sirius. I really don't run into too many people there - the npc's are scary enough.

But - that's the whole point. If you have the systems ranked on a scale of difficulty, then it's simple.

Liberty is the easy-peasy place to start out.

Bretonia follows that as slightly more difficult.

Kusari is next toughest, followed by Rheinland having the deadliest npc's in Sirius.

Then you get the Omicrons and those level 19 npc's out there that can rape a battlecruiser - which are fairly equivalent to Gallia - although the largest ship I had destroyed there was a gunboat (and quite quickly, I might add - 12 GRN npc's ate me before I could even use my bots or bats).

Open the trade routes a little more & introduce them to Cardamine.
That alone would bring in more traffic ( if the profit was good) & start some interesting role play

& yeah, I am shamelessly promoting more ways to rp a Outcast :P
