Waste of time. Wrath of the Lich King killed the game off for me; during my two-month break in October and November, I was playing WoW. WotLK essentially caters to the crowd too cretinous to be able to successfully play vanilla or TBC, it attempts to recruit the utter, abject morons. The challenge is gone, standards are down and the silliness is heftily up; I quit again.

I do still play it, albeit rarely. Muuuch preferred BC to vanilla and WoTLK..hopefully cataclysm will be as lovely as BC was.

I play WoW private servers- free fun blasts for me and my friends. Raiding Black Temple with your buddies is always great.

I've been WoW free for over a year now. No regrets. Have fun, it wasn't a bad game it was just to damn life consuming to get any fun out of it.

Ok I've finished my trial.

I'm not going to get this game. Sure it its a nice vibrant world full of potential and I'm sure I'd love the things I can do with a full account, but it doesn't warrant me using my money and life.

WoW has its pros, but the community was abysmal. I only met one good person to group with and we both had a hell of a laugh. But the rest of the community was just a giant internet troll forum.

Bye WoW, I'll miss my Priest, but I guess he'll die with vanity.

I played the WoW 14 day trial (before I ever even heard of Freelancer) and in that time went from "oh this is nice and exciting" to "the internet is full of morons" to "ok, some of the upper level quests are cool" to "the internet does have some cool people on it though" to "omfg that quest just raped me without using any lube!" to "this is getting boring". Was a good 14 day timesink though.

It's like any game though, it's what you make of it.

I had a Night Elf Druid called Allanon.

I hate people like you. Taking nice, good characters and polluting them. Bah.

I looked at the old wowhead forums and such, I was seriously considering starting my account back up a couple days ago since i have a new computer now and all...

Then I read the patch notes from the past year, and remembered why I quit the game in the first place. They took my unholy deathknight, which was a fricken badass AoE tank while I played, and turned it into a crap tank and a single target damage dealer... why? why would you do that blizzard?

Those are my 'significant' characters.

I quit in like, September. Wrath of the Lich King was the deciding factor in which whether I played or not... It was just more grinding, and extinction causing quests. Too many 'Have to be geared to play' places. I had the greatest fun back when the glitchy 1.x private servers were out.

Ahhh, I remember when one handed weapons used to do upwards 3k with Mortal Strike back in those private servers..

Team Reloaded WoW, how I miss thee.
