Hezy, I only have one suggestion, and it's a fair one.
Speed up VHF fights!
Fighters should die faster to other fighters! Not to caps though.
There is a number of ways for doing that.
One would be improving speed of fighter weapons.
The other one would be dropping hull (and bot number) by 10-20% for all fighters.
Oooor, improve fighter weapon damage 10-20%, but give 10-20% more hull to bombers and caps.
I know it's much to ask, but i still see fighter fights as too long.
With lag on server it's pretty hard to hit a dodging VHF, which is fine, but when it gets hit it should hurt.
As an ex-bomber whore I'd say bombers are just great right now.
Pretty useless against any skilled VHF's, which is the way it should be.
So, fighter - bomber relationship is much better now then it was, so kudos to the dev team.
Everything's fine except fighter fights still taking too long.
There it is, just had to say it somewhere!

P.S - Oh, and if Java could get those awesome weapons (infernos?) that Cali base has.
It's great against capital ships, and pretty good against smaller ones too.
It'd make fighting next to an enemy base harder, as it should be... As it is around Cali base, after all.

If a fighter vs fighter fight takes hours to end, then it starts getting boring and there is no fun at all... Fighters are the most basic spaceship in freelancer, so they must be more vulnerable.

Dont you think caps are too strong now can you calculate how much time will be need to kill that CAU 8 legates
For me and i guess for other players its not that fun to shoot 20mins somethink 10 times bigger then you.
Its more fun to fight against other fighters and bombers and i cant remember soo much cap spaming in 4.84
So if i follow your logic i must stop play freelancer?

You are not supposed to kill a huge battleship with 1 bomber. That is illogical. If a battleship is to die against 1 bomber, it is basicly a moving tomb for some thousand people.

If there is a big ship out there, you are supposed to take it out with several attack craft.
Then the mere reason of having battleships was to carry bulk personnel from one place to another. Well, instead, tie some ropes to containers and let the bombers pull those, full of people inside, if you re letting each bomber to be powerful, and let the cap ships become stationary space bars or something.

I dont want to kill BS alone it will not be fair. And we was 10 people 2 bombers one dread and one cruzer but thats not main problem. Im just saying that some BS guns are little infair like missles for expamle. Sometimes game dont say you "Icoming missle" and you just get 1 shooted from battleships is that fair? BS missled are not like gunboat or cruser missles cuz if you fire 1-3 CMs missle stop follow you but in BS first sometime Notice MSG is bugged and second it doesnt stop follow you. And i dont think BS realy need missles they have very fast guns like Solaris and battle razor there is not other ship who have soo fast guns.
Well, once i have killed one bomber by BS missle. It might be a 1/100 when missle reachs Player target.
And ansver abaut cap spam... If you have, for example 5-6 enemy dreads, your team better take a bombers. 7 and more bombers can take down a cap fleet. It wont be easy, but i think posebly...
Oh and i agree, engade caps fleet with several fighters.... You must be an ultra optimist. :D
