If you want something new, play as a Zoner and put yourself in the diplomatic chaos inside the Omegas & Omicrons. But since you are looking for a Faction, well there is only one that seems to be active there.

If you don't like that type of playing, I recommend you try something like the Liberty Navy, yes, a lot of shooting will be done. (It's Liberty, you know this already), but there are many other things you can do. Even though it's not the Navy's job I for example escort traders a lot and enjoy chasing a smuggler either solo or cooperative-style with other players. Just a few examples.
