Bombers aren't ubers..numbers alone mean nothing.

That aside..I do like your idea. But if you want realistic battleships power wise, you need to make sure they are realistic numbers wise as well. And no one likes being told "you can't have battleship because there are too many and because I say so". Let children have their toys, even if they're not as good as they could be. There are already too many limitations on what one can use and such. I still want to see all tech open use (as in allow indies, not just a faction that does whatever the hell it wants), but I don't play anymore, so I kinda stopped caring.

That being said, I think things are balanced the way they are.

all ship should be made to a realistic scale
so say for cap they would need to be made to have all rooms the ship would need plus docking space for fights
in fact all caps need to be much bigger then they are

but something should be done to keep things in a realistic scale

even cargo ship some very alot in size but have the same cargo space as another ship

scale in this game has always been a proablem to me
but it take little away from game play enjoyment so i don't really care a hole lot

well as far as i see you want those changes, but did you think that it will take so much time and human powers to do all that job?

I like some of the ideas - bombers being more anticap focussed, and heavy fighters/bombers actually being heavy. I myself was going to suggest giving bombers super anticap mines.

However I very much disagree with making any of the ships tougher I think they are all already far too tough. Also I disagree with making fighters do less damage against caps - its impossible apparently anyway - an easy way to do this as far as I can see is to increase cap shield regen rate, whilst decreasing capacity, thus making slow heavy hitting guns - bomber guns - more effective.

I also disagree with making BSs SRP.

If was truely horrably unbalanced then you would see everyone flying the same ship no? But their not, so obviously, tis pretty dang well balanced!

No, because people want to fly large flying turds. And the other side... an undefended bomber should last -very- short time when facing a fighter. But the reality is that the bomber has a pretty good chance of killing a fighter.

Besides, I don't really care about any PvP balance myself. I care about logical consistency and variability.
