Note: As you might have noted out I always talk in we. I have no members. The reason why i say we and not I is because i talk for the faction. Not for myself.
Anyway, do I like this idea?
No I don't. We had those "Vigilante Antiminers" around before, it wasn't fun. Turned into ooRP hate and got disgusting.
Why create another minerhunting faction? I seriously think we have far enough, just ask BMM, Krüger, DHC, IMG (though they have that many enemies because they are spread over the western and southern indie/borderworlds/bretonia)...
If it isn't the independent pirates, Mollies, Hessians, Rogues, Hogosha, etc. hunting you, it'll be the Mercs trying to kill you.
I think we've seen enough complaining of DHC, Krüger and BMM to know they have problems getting members to mine with them. IMG had it's bad times too in the last time, still having lots of members but having had some heavy hits on morale and gameplayfun lately.
So, sorry, but it just isn't a good idea in my opinion. You'd just be like everyone else. There's also the problem with what ID to go with, I'd say the closest RP-wise would be "Gaian", but even they are rather "meh" to "neutral" with IMG for example. It'd be simple terrorism, eco-terrorism. RP-wise the idea is "alright", but in game we currently don't need it.

Okay I get your point. But, i have been a miner to you know. You maybe bump into one or two pirates every run. Most of them asks me to pay 2-5M. If i with a hege does a niobium ore load for example i earn around 22 millions. In worst case you lose 10M but still your profit is really high and better than the pirates. I won't be taking the big company miners in defense as you do even if i respect your opinion and i think you are making it to big. They are very wealthy and some more and some other rp than usual would only be good for them. And also we are not supposed to be really big. Those who join us then i think would propably have joined a pirate faction either way. Just that our RP maybe is a bit funnier.
Let me tell you how it works, as it has been done twice before in the little time I am around here:
You decide to be in favouir of one mining faction.
You make a Vigilante ID, "Mining Faction X"-IFF
You start hunting all other miners in the system.
It's (in my opinion) not covered at all in the ID, but admins did not sanction the BMM-Vigilantes, nor did they sanction the Kruger-Vigilantes. So it seems what they are doing is covered by the ID.
So... it is a cool concept? no.
It's been done before and it's just exploiting a loophole in the Vigilante-ID. I was also told that the new Vigilante ID will not allow to be abused for a terror-ID. But I am not sure whether that really is the case.
If you hunt miners, you can go for BMM (they are few, and pressed hard enough atm), Kruger (they are hardly on the server), or IMG (they are online more often, but recently dropped activity dratsically), or GMS (which is shot at by all Sirius).
See? You can just line up and try to snac a few... until no one logs any more, your char loses it's reason to exist and you stop it. With more and more hunters against a decreasing population of prey, you will be starving soon.
Give it a try, if you want. But I don't see how a faction of these can possibly succeed.

I have to agree, that was rather iffy, if you consider the role of a "Vigilant". That still could need some clarifcation. However this ID is out of question here, at least.

Thanks for the feedback. But i just gotta tell you one thing with indies i mean indep. miner and trader ships not for example kruger id ships but without Kruger|. In Rp all Kruger id players are workers for Kruger. And i wonder when you checked o-7 field lately. The activity is almost higher than outside Planet manhattan. Also i've dropped the id about vigilante and has decieded to go for junker id. So praticlly it will be like any pirate/terrorist just another type of roleplay. An Eco roleplay. And you say that the prey is decreasing in numbers. Maybe they are, Even if i haven't noticed that. Then there's allways around three miners at least plus tranports in o-7. At the times when the server is most populated it's like 5-7 people in the copper field. But the reason that they decrease in numbers i think is because they are getting wealthy and don't need money anymore. And also i wonder why you say that you can't see how a faction of these can possibly suceed? The only big differense between this faction and Mollies which you are a part of is that we are going to have a different RP.
