As for what to do with the money...well, some people just enjoy trading...I know I do. And everyone has a trader char, so you don't even to actually collect the money...just pretend that you do. Anyway, in disco, the money doesn't really mean much....Most old members have a few billion laying around, (Razr is worth about 5 bill....) It adds up, and there really isn't anything to do with it.

No, not necessarily. Just because they designed them doesn't mean they can use them. The KNF probably took the blueprints off them and said thanks to the engineers. A trading company DOES NOT need battleships and such.
It can't use them anyway, because of the ID.

If you are submitting a proposal about Samura, your escorts should be fighters/bombers only. You don't need bigger ships...

Yes and thats what were intending to do, but again we still have the "Blueprints" to the Big Dragon and the Beetle as they are still transport ships.

I actually suggest either Gateway or BMM. Bretonia needs a population boost, and I think that you will find the BPA and QCRF very hospitable allies.

Again, we have decided to go with Samura Heavy Industry. But I have been seeing alot of activity in Bretonia lately so if anyone would want to start something there it could work out. And also I got my reasons why im not trying to take part with any Bretonian Trade companies..erm UOG.

But thanks for your concerns.

Good luck with Samura!

KNF Samura traders could merge with the new faction. It would further enhance activity and would be a good thing, its no big deal if you join, it will come out good for both factions. No need for KNF-T, in my opinion.

Here is what Synth Foods do with profit:

"You say you're a begining trader? I incorporate you!"

"A Bounty Hunter! I incorporate you!"

"A Pirate? I... put a bounty on you... if I make alive out of this"

So, what I pretty much do when I acquire money is to expand the corporation further. You get money, you invest it to make more money. You get the profit of investisment and you invest again. Its a dead end cycle of evil corporation. At the end you dont know why you strife for more credits, since you're already full of them:DCurse of the greedy ones, that is.

Here are some information about Samura Industries, provided by the KNF State Library.
Research and analysis made by Yngen (Apr 2007)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Samura Industries

Bloated, corrupt and politically ambitious. That's what Samura is. For the most part you see Samura rumors surrounding undercutting competition or taking advantage of its workers.

A list of rumors listed by station follows:

Tsushima Depot: A facility in place extracting Hydrocarbons from the Rings of the purple gas giant in Kyushu.

Samura primarily employs blue collar class workers. a Samura employee never retires, but dies working for the company. To quote one of the workers at Tsushima: "The young bucks who come to work here do not understand the life they have chosen for themselves. They will understand in twenty years or so that we are nothing more than machines that Samura will throw away when it is done with us." To quit your job at Samura means the ultimate dishonor. In Kyushu there is a news story about the Samura CEO, Nora Samura, visiting the planet. On his PR visit he gives a speech honoring the people of Kyushu for their working spirit, while at the same time news stories speak of an appalling unemployment rate in on Kyushu and a general exodus of the working classes to New Tokyo to find jobs there.

Shinjuku station, New Tokyo:

A trip to the core world and Samura's main corporate offices reveals an even more sinister story:

One Samura goon describes a typical day at work: "I've got orders to put pressure on a Kishiro supplier in Tokyo tomorrow, and then I'm off to a bureacrat's office to ensure he has enough money for his golf membership. Various other employees in the bar reveal that Samura has many criminal contacts: "The Blood Dragons are an annoyance, but they have served their purpose well. Once the fields in Hokkaido are fully operational, Samura will have a revelation and rethink it's views towards the terrorists." And in reference to the Hogosha: "By relieving our suppliers & compeditors of extra commodities in storage, we can keep our costs down and remain clear of suspicion." Samura is also known to actively support the Farmers Alliance financially-out of patriotic support? Or greed for their market share of Kusari food production?

The invasion of Kusari markets by Synth foods is also mentioned. In an effort to remain competitive with the Liberty Firm, Samura began harvesting alien organisms on Kurile to use as feed for the fish farms on Junyo. Only now their scientists believe this practice is having long term health impact on Kusari citizens. There is some connection between alien organisms and Cardamine which makes the ingestion (direct or indirect) have similar side effects. People who have lived on Kyushu their whole lives eating the fish become ill when they leave the planet and get better when they return-much the same way Outcasts feel when they get to far from Malta. There is also some sort of psychological effect that scientists have yet to understand. But people who have lived on the organism fed fish all their lives tend to be apathetic and less prone to ambition.

Samura runs the Yokohama ship yards in New Tokyo as well. The only rumor of relevance there is a comon notion that the shipyards are under staffed and in disrepair. Suspicion abounds that Samura is funneling money elsewhere and leaving the shipyards as a front only. A small amount of manufacturing goes on there that includes the production of large transports.

The Osaka storage facility is the remnant of a long history of Samura/GMG partnership in the distribution of H-Fuel throughout Sirius. Now that the GMG work exclusively with Kishiro, rumors are surfacing of a planned insurance fraud to be committed involving a bogus Blood Dragon attack on the facility.

On planet Kurile, the Samura workers are somewhat insulated from the main body of the company and are possibly under different influences. The top headline in the papers there involves how the Kusari/Bretonian war was started, and it claims that Bretonia started the war by attacking the IMG. The rhetoric is thick and stinks of government spin, but at least gives some indication as to the genesis of our campaign in the Taus.

There are Cryer Pharmacueticals Traders landing on Kurile daily. They purchase the organisms on Kurile for their research into creating a sythetic form of Cardamine. They believe there is some connection between Cardamine and Alien Organisms which explains the health conditions being seen in the Kusari core worlds.

Compare Samura with Haliburton in the US, they have many similarities. They excel at maintaining government and political connections and generally covering their asses.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KNF State Library can also provide informations about Kishiro Technologies if needed.

@Simon Black, I think we will do that way if an official faction is created. Exellent suggestion.

Yes I agree with you. The KNF traders that would join us will benefit us and at the same time we benefit them. Reasons that would benefit us would be
1) We get more members
2) We get connections with the KNF

and probably more things will form later on that will benefit us.

And also the things that would benefit the KNF if they were to join us..
1) The trading will be more organized.
2) More activity in Kusari.
3) Having an Official trading faction in Kusari such as the one i'm trying to get started, the Samura, can attract more Pirates.

and again more thing that will benefit them will form later on...

And just a disclaimer, I am hoping that on one was thinking of a merge, it more simply a stronger alliance.

Unfortunately, I think due to Samura behaviour, near all KNF members seems to like much more Kishiro, only 1 Samura under our flag atm.
Samura and Kishiro are also in court because Samura was stealing resources from Kishiro's cargo pods.
I think Kishiro is the keiretsu in Kusari developing military projects and building the ships.

Informations about Kishiro below, same author.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kishiro Technologies:

Katsuhir Kishiro began as the inventor of quantom optronics in AC 91. Since then Kishiro has expanded into trade, military research and resource technology.

Nago station in Tau-29 serves as Kishiros dedicated supplier of Hydrocarbons, which are used to make optronics. Kishiro is able to extract the Hydrocarbons at a much cheaper cost which enables them to remain independant from Samura.

The rumors surrounding the Hogosha working for Samura and stealing from Kishiro are confirmed in a news story about Kishiro sueing Samura in high cort for corporate fraud.

Kishiro moves in on the Gas mining market. For centuries the GMG worked with Samura as a distributor of H-Fuel but when Kishiro developed an improved more efficient version of the Gas mining ship they stipulated that in order for the GMG to be able to use the new ship they would have to trade with Kishiro exclusively. With the new ship the GMG were able to under-cut H-fuel sales and undersell the Samura prices.

Kishiro as the next generation Naval engineering firm Yukowa shipyard is Kishiro's main equipment assembly facility. There they manufacture the Gas Miner. In addition to that, rumors are floating around that Kishiro has been awarded a government contract to upgrade the Samura-designed "Edo" line of combat vessels the Naval forces use. Top secret research into weapons and power technology has lead to the divelopment of second generation fighters and possibly the inclusion of a bomber. Kishiro is also the sole civilian contracter involved in the top secret development of ship jump technology by the Naval forces research centers in Honshu.

Though not as politically powerful as Samura, Kishiro is definately the healthier of the two companies. Their businesses in Honshu are booming while Samura flounders (pun intended) in Kyushu. Kishiro also seems to have more of a moral spine than Samura. Kishiro rumors look down on Samura's corruption and ever Kishiro works to distance itself from Samura.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wouldn't you like it much more?
