Gallic Junker Register

I have not made several threads about this. this is infact the first thread. The player whom advised me to make a post in this part of the forums is the same player that asked me to stop posting about this one issue in the GRN| thread.

I am not performing a trial by forums. I am trying to ascertain the good points and the bad points surrounding the Junker register. Nothing more. If you don't like that I am asking others to give views over something then please stay away from the thread.

1. Are you annoyed? If you're annoyed, stop posting. Post when you're calm and able to deal with things reasonably.

2. Does your post address any of the following issues:
- Tech use.
- Abuse of faction rights as defined here http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=21888
- Repeated poor in game behaviour such as abuse of game mechanics.

3. I am telling you that a disagreement over the way the GRN should be played, and what an absolute monarchy is, and how the players see junkers in gallia, is not something that's worth repeatedly posting in a feedback thread about.

Talk to the players without swearing and shouting at them on skype.

I'm talking about the feedback thread mainly, but that is still pushing the issue. You were asked to stop posting about this subject and go to forums. I'm just giving you a heads up about what you are doing and how people are seeing it.

Donut, I was asked to take it out of the Feed back thread. I wasn't asked to take it away from the Forums. I had a good few hours chatting with Jihad joe afterwards and he suggested to make a post in this part of the forums. He also gave me some advice to which I have listened to, and set my own idea out, why not ask what others who are interested in Gallic Junkers to show what they think about the registry. Is it good/bad? Does it support/discourage Gallic Junker roleplay?

As you are now clearly going of topic, I ask that you are to make no further posts in this thread please. Thank you, but you have already shown your opinions that I have asked for, but now you are bringing it of the threads topic.

I'm not derailing the thread, I just didn't understand the circumstances. If Joe pointed you here, then by all means I'd like to apologize for my posts.

To make a real post though, I have to say the whole thing is silly. If the community agrees, I might talk with Dab and the GRN about it.

Hm. Does being a Gallic Junker equal being loyal to the Crown?

No.

That should answer this threads purpose pretty clearly. There is a reason the registry is directed to loyal Junkers.

I am going to simply do this:

I am going to try something different here, so please bear with me. Opening this thread shows you have an interest with Gallic Junkers to which we all know is as varied as they come. But there is certain requirements. These are as you of course well know is that the Gallic junker Id is the Junker Guard ID, which might be still the case in 4.86. And that you must register the character with GRN| for that character to be treated as a Gallic Junker. If you arn't on that list, whilst usinga Gallic Junker ID'd character GRN| and any GRN Independent player is allowed to open fire on you, and treat you also as if you were a Sirian Junker not a Gallic Junker.

So, I would like to ask players with in the community how they feel that the register promotes Gallic Junkers, or discourage them. I would also like to ask players with in the community another question, which is do you feel that the ID shows what the characters allegiance is, falsely or not, and why.

I am actually disappointed at the moment. I was expecting, at least by now, some opinions showing how they think it encourages Gallic Junker Roleplay.

With many of the opinions held here so far are those that are held by myself too. One thing that GRN| can do is what many of the Houses do, which is to make a list of those that they do find to be repeat offenders who break the law, which would be more respectful in my own opinion.

Why don't you explain your opinion Dab?

Those who are not loyal to Gallia, and those found supplying the Council, Maquis, or Brigands, will find themselves treated no differently than any Sirian we find flying in our space.

There are no real punishments to my knowledge, as there hasn't been enough Gallic junkers for this to happen. The only thing I can think of that might relate is the Junkers Congress refused to obey the King and were banned from Gallia. My thoughts are banishment and open hostility.

So...if you don't register and you have normal, acceptable goods, the GRP will probably tax you and the GRN will do nothing but follow your Gallic Junker to its trade destination? If you're caught smuggling or carrying contraband you will be shot on sight?
