And for trollers and similar who ruined a some topics...
For lock some good topic, it must be some reason, obviously and if that reason are some troll posts,
like stupid pictures, or posts like " inb4lock" ..or something i don't know, trollers had a huge imagination for that, then moderator shouldn't lock a topic he should erase that post and give a notice like "this is yellow card one more and you out.." or something and troller should be marked and if that same guy do that again, because is not for players or members to decide if some topic its for lock or not, than he "got red card" on 48 h forum ban. When he's back again and do just one mistake like he do before i put him on ice for 6 month's
I know is a lot a work but i believe in this community had descent members who will gladly do just that... to clean this forum from trollers who ruined all of this hard work.
I am 100% behind you , men. I just don't know how this will be implemented. Honestly, I think it won't, because it is way, way too much for a moderator.

I know it is a lot work but mod team should get more moderators because this community is rising day by day..
Other day was two more ... take another two because some moderators became a admins...so yes should be more moderators... definitely

It is not good to lock constructive topics. Why? Because when you lock it you reward trollers' behavior, you actually feed them. Soon or later, trolling will become an instrument, easiest way to get a topic locked - so some good ideas will be closed (because someone doesn't like op or topic's content is not of his benefit) and there might be persons who would like something constructive to say but they won't be able to do it cause they are late and topic can't be reopened.
My suggestion is not to lock constructive topic, just make all offtopic and trolled replies invisible, and if trollers are persistent than warn them or sanction. I know there are many topics and replies every day so moderators can't read all that, op can just pm some of them.
Of course, this doesn't apply on topics that were made in order to troll and spread hate.

It would be quite a useful feature if individual members could be locked out of particular threads after they have misbehaved rather than having to lock entire threads all the time.
Although, that could also be called a warning followed by a temp ban.

Temp ban and warning of longer ban if they post in a particular thread again would be the correct way to go.
On a sidenote, its not unlikely that certain people "trolling" could actually be a welcome excuse to lock a thread to keep a certain subject from being discussed.
For example the angry players.
I think it would have been a good thing to point out, related to that subject, that there are people here who like making people angry on purpose, and then post "u mad" at them. It's their way of bullying people and making sure no one listens to the people they are bullying. Its also an effective way so cover their own misbehavior. "Oh that guy has screenies of me breaking rules? Oh but that guy is angry. You cant take him seriously". If the bully is lucky, he will even get the other guy angry enough to have himself sanctioned for insulting, while the reason he got angry gets ignored completely. Now the thread where this could have been discussed has been locked. Succesful bullies are succesful.
