It's the pilot.
Ship sets the ability to stay and fight based on number of guns, hull strength, etc. Pilot certainly determines aim but only a fool would try to fight with just one turret. Less +1 posts more thinking please

Tried it out in the meantime. I do more damage with type 2 turrets than with type 4. So I'll keep them.

But the type 4 are actually usable by now. A lot better than before.

transport guns really need to be rebalanced

Type 3s are the only useful ones against snubs, really.

For the record, I flew a Crane with 3x Liberty STTs and 3x Type 1s and turned a Waran into a Light Fighter not so long ago.:cool:

Type 2s are useful against other Transports, much like Type 1s.

What desperately needs the most reworking is the Type 4, which is useless because of the ludicrous power drain.

Edit: So Type 4s are actually useful now? Better check it out.

Transports with fighter turrets being overpowered is the most popular reason so far - I personally don't see it, but appreciate the opinions on this matter
