Don't worry dude, most people here just find the fact that you payed for credits surprising, and stupid. Even though it will probably haunt you forever in this community, don't let it get to you.
Discovery won't die. Not any time soon.
Discovery, at its core, is a very dynamic and volatile game, due to it's large degree of freedom, inherited from Vanilla Freelancer. A lot can happen by typing a few words in system chat. So the rules are here to direct that 'degree of freedom' in a way that it doesn't hurt other people's fun.
Oh as admins can take anything in a second, no I wont buy credits on this server anymore, plus its called cheating hear and I promised I would never cheat here, I gave my word and I never will.. cheat here that is..
PTC has had steadily the same 20 people on it since xevious founded the thing. if you like it why did you leave?
Its worth the fuss pointing out the obvious or doom say.. Because in the end it wont be any rule that kills the server most likely the thing that does will be a world ending solar flare.
Y'know, the best way to make sure that the bad stuff you did in the past, stays in the past, is to simply stop bringing it up all the time.
I'm massively confused as to why you think any of your posts in this thread could get you banned. At very worst, this thread is simply over-dramatic. We don't ban people for being drama queens. If we did, half the server would have been thrown off already, probably including myself.
The server isn't dying. There's not a decline in players. Infact the player count is generally speaking up on what it was a few months ago.
I've been around for so long I can't remember, longer then the joining date of my account, much longer.
I've seen lots of "Disco is gonna die" threads, It didn't happen so don't worry, there are always new folks coming in, but you don't notice them because they're well, new and still have to adapt, make forum account, chars, etc...
Despite my time here, I don't think half this community knows I exist, mainly because I almost never post anywhere except flood/comm channel.
They have a steady 20-26 players.. yeah not like here, I prefer to play here but that place is fun (as I was banned for a long time and had to, but is really fun there) Before you say "well go play there" I like this place better.. but it wont last..
You guys cant keep ZOI and have all ok.. say 90 always online (thats VERY generous, usually I see 60 +/-) with so many areas with places players CANT LEAVE because they made the mistake of spending there hard earned credits on that Battleship/Cruiser/whatever now they lost 90% of the area they can explore and goto..
My point is why should anyone be restricted? Let the consistences of there actions be on them/us.. if a RH moves into NY let NY deal with it.. why should that me illegal?

Uh... a hessian wouldn't get sanctioned for flying in NY. >_>
The rules restrictions we put in place are to maintain some degree of roleplay sanity. They are designed to enact the will of the community in general. That community has requested (over time) tighter enforcement of sane roleplay. As soon as that gets put in place, you instantly start to hear people asking for a more relaxed and less restrictive environment.
There is no specific "ZoI" rule. There is a rule saying that you gotta behave as your ID dictates you should. That means behaving in a manner fitting for a hessian, or corsair, or liberty navy, or whatever ID you happen to be using on your ship. To my mind that does include where you fly. I would consider myself acting against my ID if I drove my Liberty battlecruiser to Malta. Simply because the situation wouldn't make any sense in roleplay.
