But yeah, I agree with Dodike, it should be within a traders right to dock and not be dead, since they're not really pvp ships
Unlike in any other activity docking is essential for trading (buying/selling commodities). Transports also can't hunt down an attacker.

Pirating in cruisers not a big deal, since traders were so vulnerable before. This change could force them to do like they need to do. Hire escort, fly in convoys, etc. Since a single bomber could kill any kind of transport, the situation wont change a lot.

In my opinion, this change has nothing more just forcing people to understand the "reality" behind the game. A trader have to pay or fulfill the orders if vulnerable. Thinking about respawning, being mute when has nothing in the cargo hold isnt an option if somebody wanna play on a roleplay server.

I guess, during piracy, the level, below which demands are deemed to be reasonable, did not change. Right?

I have a bad feeling about this...I'm sorry but this is the DUMBEST RULE CHANGE to happen yet! Seriously there's gonna be a capspam like you have NEVER seen before and we're gonna lose alot of players (Mostly Traders) due to sheer frustration.

This will be interesting...
A mild rule adjustement regarding the amount of demands might be useful.

Wraga you are wrong on this one. Since it will take escorts much longer to take down a cruiser, and a cruiser can insta' kill most of the transports too.

Well, the only good thing is that it's still a trial. *sighs*

Is there a reason to use gunboat for a piracy? We'll find out, I guess.

That pretty much sums up my view as well. Tradeships docking shouldn't really count as death and successfully reaching a base without the pirate blowing you up should have a reward...

EDIT: reward as in, 4 hour rule exemption
