The biggest problem with Lady Gaga is probably... her being everywhere. Maybe because of this people who has better taste in music hates her. In my opinnion, "artists" like these destroys the music and makes masses think that this is how the true music should look: epyleptic, mindless videos, as same as "empty" lyrics. In old days, popular music had some sort of social context, now it devolved into stupid and mindless songs. Probably this is why I'm trying to avoid any contacts with popular music. Maybe there's someone who wants to turn us into mindless zombies of some sort? I don't know... that's just my oppinion. Oh, and I really didn't liked Gaga comparing herself to Marylin Monroe and even "being greater than she is". That's just the same as Bieber "being greater than Jackson" and 1D being "counterpart of Beatles".

*Sigh* What happened to the days of meaningful music with actually AUDIBLE lyrics?
All I hear now is a mess of words that either make no sense or are so poorly enunciated that I can hardly hear what the singer is singing.
All the current "artists", if you can even consider them such, can never compare to the real artists of old. Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Doris Day etc. To compare them to the current "artists" is blasphemy.

Or maybe, we just got it all wrong. All the new "artists" need is a decent song writer who isn't a monkey on a typewriter.

I haven't been keeping up with the music scene of late, but I do know who Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are.

Lady Gaga is no different to Elton John when he first started out, some of his costumes had to be seen to be believed.

I've heard some of her music, it's ok, but not what I'm into.

Katy Perry on the other hand, I can't remember any of her music, she does, as has been pointed out, have amazing eyes and is reasonably cute.
Too bad I'm probably more than old enough to be her father. :lol:

What is wrong with them that people dislike them so much?

As for Justin Bieber....... why do people think he is talented? :crazy:
