' Wrote:I have to agree with spazzy. We need ingame admins. I have heard all the "they have lives" "they are not paid" bla bla bla crap. This is why i think the current voting is BS. All i see are people voting for those who they like, and not those who will do a good job, or have time to sit ingame for several hours a day.
I am all for voting admins in, but alas the player base in Disco is young heavy, and vote for friends, and not for best person to do the job.
All i see on current list is alot of players that put time into playing, and will still do so, instead of being proper admins. No offence meant as some on list will do a good job, but others are just young/popular players that i think will not do a proper admin job.
+1
back when i was a admin on a vanilla server we had a agreement to spend X ammount of time ingame so 90% of the time there were atleast 1 admin ingame .
If this wont work way not make low level admins with limited powers IE Kick ban only
But i must say i have trust in the decisions of the admins. So with new ones comming up. I think they will adress this kind of issue's first. and give the players more fun playing. Rather then making Violation reports.

no they will not. iv'e been here for 3 whole years, many have been around longer then me. this game is one of the øeast ingame moderated games ive ever played. admins usually only appear 5 minutes before and after restart. then they go offline. Disco is all about reports. and back in 4.85 when i joined the server, admins churned out around 10+ reports a day... on a normal day. however they wanted to get ingame more, and revised the rules time and time again, sone good, but mostly bad. their workload decreased, but the amount of grey areas being exploited litterally exploded. people found more and more grey areas to abuse, and the admins have shown more then once that they have problems with sanctioning such behavior. sure it was a pain to get to know all the rules, but back then, there was alot less douchebags on the server. some really cool people have changed into being utterly distasteful people. and although i wont claim to.be any better, i certainly havent spent as much time as many others have, on posting snide remarks and trolly comments. honestly, i think the adminisrration must make the tough choice soon. to go back to the good old "nazi" regime, with zero tolerance or shut down the server. the way the community as a whole is heading, well. troll or not, Nobody truly likes the current situation.

1. Wrong forum section.
2. Just report them.
3. These threads do not and have never worked.
The majority of the admin team would try and show up if possible. They are highly unlikely to see this thread in time to have done anything.
24/7 in game monitoring of the players will always be impractical. More in game adminning? Sure. That's possible. Having someone there all the time to cater for every last little whinge or complaint from any player? Hell no.
Let me tell you what being an admin in game is like...
Your entire screen fills with green text from a billion people PMing you with questions. I'd say about 70% of the questions you get asked, involve the words "How do I get terrorist ID?"... The rest are from people complaining about some minor breach of the rules which you didn't see, have no evidence for, and therefore can't act upon. This truth unfortunately tends to cause the nub who feels wronged in a situation to get angry with you for not leaping to their defense like some sort of knight in shining armour, without realising that you can no more act on their say-so than that of the alleged rule breaker.
When the spam of green text finally slows to a managable level (this normally takes an hour of pure stress), you stand the chance of actually wandering around and seeing what the players are up to. At this point it becomes a little more enjoyable. You can advise people, you can inform people of the rules, and you can deal with problems as they arise... But getting to that position, takes about an hour of feilding retarded questions, and .beaming yourself around sirius, to alleged rule breaches which didn't actually happen, and listening to crying morons who're upset that the pirate trolled them by... yanno, pirating.

If you say so. You're wrong, but whatever.

You may be a little older, but are hardly an example of the "older = wiser" idea. Age counts for comparatively little, perception counts for more. Lets look at all the attributes you've failed to gain with age:
- Tact.
- Decency.
- A cool temper.
- Dignity.
So I'd suggest age has very little to do with who would make a good admin, or people's ability to vote sensibly.

If you say so.
I was in a fight, so I chose the first forum I saw. Anyway, the situation was dealt with and this can be invised. Also, these threads do work. Quite often.
I remember you responded to one fairly quickly as well back in the day.
