The [LN] and Indies

LN could learn a lesson from the attitude of some of the players I meet in Rheinland. RM and DHC especially have all taken pains to involve me recently. Every time I log my Bomber on I am being sent group invites for one reason or another. Guarding ops, escort, maruading capships. It's a very positive attitude, even more so when you take into account that these guys have no real idea about my indy faction or myself and they overlook my sucky pvp skills. It's admirable to say the least to see this from such well established factions.I would not be enjoying my game time half as much without this kind of tolerance and acceptance. On my part, I am trying not to do anything to spoil that trust.

I hate to read big, huge, enormous, large, great, grand, giant, bulky, fat, vast, immense, gigantic, oversized, whopping, monstrous, gargantuan, pointless walls of text.

Read only the underlined if you don't like walls of text.
So, shortly:
1) The Navy ganks. The whole Navy (sometimes literally). I've seen it only 2 times, but the sheer size of the ganks was enough to save me from having to watch more;
2) Disorganization. Sometimes it is a total mess, but sometimes they do know to make a good looking formation. Which is utterly useless in combat;
3) RP. Most officials know how to do it, while most indies don't even know what it is. I think this is the result of "Hey, I'm new, can you suggest me for which faction to play???)))" and "Buy a Libby loldread. Both Libby and the dread are newbie friendly". Better suggest new players to join some Kusarian faction. Not much war, but plenty of opportunity for RP. Bretonia is also good, but I wouldn't exactly love a large flow of newbies into a House where I take care about the indies. Maybe BHG, or the Outcasts? BHG is blue message focused, great chance to start to love the game, and then get into RP. The Outcasts can be a good school, and they also have nobody to impress. They're fighting the Sairs (gives you the chance to see what not to be), after all. Or should;
4) Insulting. When you kill a loLNS, despite all those ganks, it often drops an insulting OORP message. It gives some kind of an impression that the Navy is operated by kids. It's OK OORPly, since games are made for kids, but... Remember the previous paragraph;
6) Overall unpleasant atmosphere. It's what prevented me from buying a dread, along with my old and weak PC. Namely, all of this, adding the fact that the enemy side also has similar problems, makes people nervous and annoyed, who then make other people nervous and annoyed;
5) Unfortunately, there is even more to say. But I don't like to insult people and I don't like walls of text.

This refers only to the distinct part of the Navy, not all of it. Frankly, the situation has even improved from what it's been before.

Posting here on behalf of the Torpedoes, we want to remind people that the ships we use, the skill of our pilots and the general game mechanics allow any LNS to survive the fight by....docking.
Yes, I know right?
You can actually dock.
Or switch to TSing TZing gunboats and rape the barghests.


I am pretty sure the BHG are making bank off of us by now.
Do not think that the Torpedoes are a group made on some sort of agenda to weed out LNS players. Half of our damn group are LNS players, I remind you, who simply wish to pew pew their usual group buddies without consequences.

Mixed group of 6 pirates... transports, bombers, fighters sitting on pueblo lane, as we speak. Nothing but a LNS group would be able to do anything about it, but seems they're all dead. Liberty is run by unlawfuls, once again.

The phrasing "shutting down the system for roleplay" implies a sort of club, and if you are not part of it, you can't participate. beinfg asked to leave, in character, is infact being roleplayed with. You can respond to it in any number of ways.

Your right, but threatening to shoot any indie that does not listen is, and several [LN] did just that.
[LN] threatens to kill indies, and FR5 indies, and Bounty indies almost daily in Liberty.
[LN] has sat in distance and watched indies die to 3 to 1 odds, and after indie dies then jumps into fight.
[LN] has ordered indies not to enter a fight, and have been completely wiped out, then leaving indies alone to fight a losing battle that if they entered earlier would have been a win.
[LN] kicks indies off of All liberty skype shannels if they dis-agree or argue with any [LN] RP(this one i know personally "JOE")

Now indies also do stupid things like fire on ships they should not, mostly due to not knowing RP.

It is basically [LN] does not give indies credit, and think they are all morons with no RP. Hell i been a Liberty lawful indie for 6 years, and still i am treated like i joined disco an hour ago by [LN] privates that been in Disco a week.
It is the "we are better then you, because we are officail" attitude that [LN] has that is causing the anger in Liberty.
[LN] is no better or worse then any other player in this game, but daily i see them putting down, insulting,ordering, and just being tools to indies.
Until all the above stop? you will see hostility. If it was not for the 1 "official" faction per group you would have seen [LN] pushed out, or in a civli war by now.

That's an outright lie, that does not happen unless the indie is shooting at us

Have never seen that either, if an inde is outnumbered [LN] usually jump in

It's called fairplay, I tell indes to not enter an even fight unless the fight is next to Manhattan

Once again, I've only seen this happen if the inde is being a complete idiot and is not contributing to the skype chat at all

LOL thats funny, as the pirate grops in Liberty even target smugglers these days.
