One thing I have a beef with the first design was..
The Osiris was made by stolen designs off of a prototype Liberty ship.
Now why the hell is this cruiser modelled after the Liberty cruiser?
Did the order go and steal the cruiser design as well and then just stuck an Osiris engine onto it?
The front gun is just way too similar to the Liberty cruiser, think about the stats? Are you just going to give it the same stats? Then it's just a cloned ship for another faction.
The Order need a more original design, rather than just taking an Lib cruiser front + Order back and fusing the two.
For the second version, maybe make the engine smaller, and add a small engine to each side? Smaller engines there would help with mobility, instead of 1 central engine.
As for multiple engines... I'd have to entirely remake the back half of the ship, I couldnt just slap another engine section on there and scale them down. Fitting them to the mid section of the ship would be a pain in the rear.
Besides, I based the engine off the osirisberty dreadnaught, and it fits.
and to respond to mule...

A large majority of the order's pilots, marines, and engineers/shipwrights are from the liberty navy. They're starting to get more kusari/bretonian/rheinland people into their organization, but it started out as 'defectors' from liberty, and they primarily recruit from liberty.
As for the engine point that is true, but otherwise it looks pretty good. Im not a 3d modeller (yet) but is there a way you can make the front end look a bit less blocky?

I think I'd have to use smoothing or something on the front, it's fairly low poly which is why it's all lined like that.... not entirely sure how to fix it though.
' Wrote:well, i think it looks perfect - now you can start adding details.
O.o
you're kidding right?
any extra detail will have to be added through textures, and I cant do texturing very well.
i did fix the texture on the side windows though...
ah - no, i was not kidding. - one can add a lot of stuff with a good texture ( homeworld ships are living prove - the real ones, not the things we got in disco ) - but the ship stilll looks VERY plain - here is a little example of where modelled details are useful - and when you take a look at vanilla ships, you see that a lot of the detail is actually modelled, too.
here is a little non textured example of the carrier. - there is not much detail modelled, but enough to make the hull not look like plain metal plates.
this is just an example of how much stuff you can add to a hull to support the texture.
