She felt amused by her reaction. A lot of people reacted this way."Hey, you okay?" she laughed
"I am sorry, I forget a lot of people find it akward."she ordered some water for herself this time"Sorry if I have offended you"
"And yeah, I know what it is like to have not a single credit. Compared to what commies say, it blows. Just look at those posch people from IND. Technically I should feel disgusted. Well I don't really."
Emily was smiling softly, sympathizing. Like Lachina, Amber was continuously fighting back dark pasts, she knew what it was like to wonder what else could go wrong. "Come here"
Amber said, opening her arms, embracing Lachina.
"It'll be okay..." Amber said pulling out of the hug, but keeping her arm on Lachina's.
"If you ever need anyone just to talk too, you know where to find me."
Emily smiled, wishing that someone was there for her.
Lach gladly accepted the hug. As much as she really was hardened by the life she lived, sometimes all she really needed was a hug like this. Even Reavers are people. Each and every one of us has the demons of their past and the demons of their future. We just take it all differently.
"Thanks" she whispered
She brushed Emily's hair laughing."You will regret that offer, trust me. But I will gladly accept it nonetheless."
At a table in the darker recesses of the back of the bar a man sits down, lights two cigarettes and proceeds to smoke them both at the same time and both held in the same hand.
As unimportant as it sounds realisation dawns when it's noted that the man didn't walk through the door or down the rows of tables, chairs, booths and bodies to get there. A digital state of affairs. Zero man. One man. As odd as that is a small ball rolls through the door, along the floor and bounces up onto the table in front of the man. It sits expectantly.
The man looks at the ball and sighs. "Don't look at me like that. It was her choice to make. You like her? Sometimes I wonder how corrupted your code is. Anyway. It happened again."
The ball starts wobbling and rolling all over the table for some time. Once it slows down the man continues by saying "Yes. Hilarious. Go and be useful. Retrieve the bits, reassemble and report back when it's done." The ball starts to wobble again but says stock still upon hearing the man say "You, me, the waste disposal unit and an eighteen pound lump hammer. That'd be funny, no?"
Then the ball, with a velocity and visible determination it didn't have previously, sped out of the bar. The man, unconcerned by all of these events takes out a datapad and starts making notes.
Umber walked in the bar for the first time, with two new interviews to do. It had style, she granted it. Looking at one of the vacant booths, she nodded to the persons around that she knew. Seing businessmen mixing with mercenaries was a sight to behold... But true to the core of each side. Business was the norm here, alongside a few drinks.
Walking to the available booth, she sat and gestured to both Aurelia and Hans to sit.
"Let us start?"
She looked at both as they sat down.
"Mr. Weissman.. Do tell me some of your past exploits.. and why the application to the Company."

"Well" he gave a quick look to Aurelia's chest then looked back at Umber "I was running freelancing mostly for criminals for the past 2-3 years, after a short lived time I had in the Hunter's Guild. Doing pretty much anything, smuggling, assassinations, cargo hi-jacking..." he drifted off to look at the bar "Anyway, my most recent job is working for the Mollys and the Lane Hackers. Killed some high profiles for 'em, after that... I thought it would be profitable to tag-on to some Royal raiding parties into clashes with the Liberty Navy. It always proved quite profitable." he was back to looking at Aurelia's chest, who was drinking at the bar and then asked "You think she's C or B?"
Umber was slightly taken back by Weissman's observation of Aurelia's breasts. Two months ago, she would probably be downright in shock, but living and fighting side by side with the rest of the Reavers made her more... resilient to those kind of comments.
"I would have to check her file for that, Mr. Weissman. And as for yours, it does check out. We had you tagged for quite a while ago. Good to see you decided to join."
She then looked at Aurelia, and unconsciously, due to Weismann's question, looked at her breasts. Conscious of that, she raised her look to Aurelia.
"Now, Miss Landreau. Do share why the Reaver Merc. Co. And why being a mercenary?"
