Both options are bad and you should feel bad.

Because there is definitely only two outcomes to a highly complex war and diplomatic situation. 10/10 best poll 2014.

It also completely ignores the reason the war was started in the first place.

How about we force the war to actually be where it should be (New Hampshire) and not in Texas and Hamburg ... I though that was what destroying the gates was actually trying to do.

Nope, it was more about pure RP part afaik, where Rheinland blows them up to ease the pressure and dedicate more forces to other important matters.

Unless somebody was brave enough to repeat the whole "Lets add several buffer systems in Omicrons to move Corsair/Outcast conflict into Sigmas" again, but I'm kinda sure stupidity has it's limits, so it wasn't the case.
Plus it's still easier and quicker to fly between Hamburg/Texas, unless the system sizes of Minnesota-Bremen were drastically reduced, which I don't know about.

Neither.

Liberty is given permission to have a naval presence in Hamburg, and Rheinland in Texas. This can result in joint training operations that not only rebuild relations between the two militaries, but also the two houses as a whole. In this, Rheinland and Liberty can also conduct operations that including hunting threats, to either house (Local pirates), or threats to both houses (Nomads, Wild) in these systems.

Eventually, Rheinland no longer having to depend on Gallia for materials, drops them as an ally, and goes neutral in the war against them, focusing on at-home threats, and rebuilding their economy.

+1

Neither Hamburg falling to Liberty nor Texas falling to Rheinland make sense

The point has been made. These polls are pointless.

Old farts that are bored of this war forget that there is always new blood that enjoys it.

Nobody is forcing you to participate in boring events, yet you complain that it got old to do same over and over again. The logic behind such argument is lost, when you see 4 year old war still being the most active non-planed events that attract more than enough people who grinded for their CAU Cruisers and Battleships.

Border systems are irrelevant with the advent of Jump Drives. InRP, a large war fleet could easily bypass a well-defended system/position and strike potentially anywhere they wanted, even a House capital. Example: LN decides to skip Hamburg entirely and appear right over New Berlin, and threatens to glass the surface unless Rheinland surrenders. Boom, end game.

This isn't anywhere close to what we've been discussing regarding the end of the war.

At any rate, the other thread provided more than enough material for us to do this differently. We're still going to put an end to this war because we really need the roleplay to move forward.

The Sigmas could become an interesting battleground of publicly denied Rheinland (+Kusari as ally or third opponent ?) vs Liberty fights. With this in mind, the only thing that would happen is that the battleground shifts from Texas to the Sigmas but it still allows us to reopen the trading between Lib and Rheinland and pour some activity back in these borderworlds systems. With the return of Tri-House/Quad-House trade routes, Rheinland unlawfuls might show up again.

Again, this is yet only ideas and there's a lot of things to consider.

edit: Actually, I'll make this it's own thread.

Goes both ways. Especially for Gallia.

*boom* Gallic fleets appear in the orbital space around Manhattan, Denver, Los Angeles, Houston, and glass them from orbit with it's anti-matter siege guns in a hour or so.
(I suspect inRP a hit of FG into a planetary surface exceeds several tens of MT nuclear detonation? Since it's an anti-matter weapon.)

So no, I guess JumpDrives are excluded from the actual storyline, or are strictly limited in some way.
