Virus, please tell me you were kidding about missing out on the 'del cid power drain thing..

Cause half of Bs| and AW had to contend with this when the CUFF took on Huegys full of Tizona Turrets and took down fighter shields so fast we couldn't get off *ONE* shot..

To be honest, I never had that problem. Only time I fought them, I hit the b******s (figure of speech) with my dual Tizzys and dropped their shield before slamming them with a nova.... Or was that the -=?=- people? I don't really remember... They ran into NY, though... Then attacked my with two Huegenots and a werewolf when I went to Texas and bragged to me over private comms about how I sucked.

I did more total damage to them than they did to me. XD Yes, I just kept going back through that jump hole to deal more damage. No, I didn't kill them. That part was on purpose. >:)

I don't think they were smart enough, at that point, to planet dive their weapons back... >.>

Two hueggys and a werewolf... The -=?=-..
I fought that same fleet once in NB. I beat the Wolf in like 10 secs with my Sabre.. He ate 2 cannonballs, lots of tizzie, and a nova. Dropped the shields of a hueggy and it instantly hit cruise and ran. The other hueggy engaged me without success. . same result. I pursued them and called reinforcements. They ran to Kyoto and base camped.

With the CUFF i remember a pursue along with Reaver...
After almost 2 hours of seeing his tails, they finally engaged us in Newcastle. They were on a Huegenot, a fighter and a large train. We were on a Sabre (Blackbeard) and a gunboat (Reaver).
In the end, it was frustrating. The Huegenot shieldran every time we managed to lower his shields to 50%. The fighter fought valiantly, but only lived like 15 seconds as i put a nova down his throat. I though i was going to die too as my shields collapsed, but the SB kicked in just on time for me to survive..
The train was just cruising around, and it was pretty hard to kill as it had a BS or Cruiser shield generator.
The rest is history...

Yeah the wolfhound/werewolf is nothing but a big fat target. Thats why you can go to Belfast base, and just hold down the fire button and come out with a hold full of Mollys. And with only 5 gun emplacements.... I wouldn't fly a wolf except strictly for RP. (says someone who flies a nomad gb for fun.....)

The wolfhound has to be one, if not the, worst pirate HF ever. It can be out-turned by a humpback, it's got roughly the same amount of armour as a barracuda, which can fly circles around it.

Even liberty navy defenders can kill them off pretty easily, and that ship is the worst HF in the game.

However while the werewolf may look like a wolfhound, it can keep up, turn for turn, with a sabre.

It's got alot of armour which means it can hang round firefights were a sabre or titan would be creamed and it's got 5 class 10 mounts, I personally think it's one of the best pirate VHFs.

But I can see why other people might not like it.

You have a tendency to do that.. I remember you took one of the LS fighters in 5 seconds in the first Tau-37 battle. Then me and Quantum took the other. Then Met was like; :mellow: sh*t.. >.<

@marauder: Must disagree with you there m8.... sure the Werewolf has beefier armor (15000 IIRC), and it turns as good as a Sabre/Titan.... but it has a much bigger surface area than either, ie. it's much easier to hit. You can come at it from any angle and score a hit, as opposed to a Sabre or Titan which have a slim profile at some angles.

Besides that it still only has 5 forward-pointing guns, which is worse than any VHF or HF. I wouldn't like to go up against any player in another VHF.

EDIT: Ok didn't notice the 5 x class 10 thing.... is that new from 4.79?

As for the Wolfhound, I believe it turns just as good as any other HF, i.e. 60 deg/sec.... but it suffers the same fate as the Werewolf, that is its a huge target and only 5 guns. You can take on a bunch of Mollys in Trent's Starflier for goodness sake. The Baracuda runs ring around it coz it has really good handling (77 deg/sec), just like it runs rings around other HF's like Hawk, Stiletto, etc.

Of course I really don't know what I'm talking about until I take one out for a run....

But now, I like the pirate vessels for the aesthetics. I'm not joking, I think they look narley!!! :cool: That's why I'd fly a werewolf, probably to my demise. :crazy:
