yes - but thats the BW series... a civilian, free for all ( and freely used ) series of ships. - while this one would become a factionized ship - restricted and limited to the unioners. - hence they can name it rheinlandish as they please - unless they insist on keeping the BW roots of the ship ( for whatever purpose )

Schiavona

Basket hilt sword, word is of talian origin, but was used in whole europe to describe that kind of sword. They were usually very ornate and fight style you used them was very gracefull. They were in use mosly by bodyguards of important people, like nobles and rulers.

Lovely ship, and id like to see it in the Hands of the Bundschuh, they could use some extra firepower.

For the name, since the Bundschuh movement (historically) was a peasents uprising, it shouldnt be named after sutch an sufisticated weapon like a sword.
Something more primitive like the "Sense" (thats scythe in English), or maybe "Flail" or "Fork", thinks a Farmer can kill with.

But I thought bundschuch wasnt formed for peasant but from the industrial factories of Daumann? (been a little while since I read disco wiki hehe)

The Bundschuh are generally left-leaning political radicals and revolutionaries. Most of the Bundschuh's manpower comes from young idealists - scholars and academics, not workers, soldiers, miners, or farmers. We are the militant and radical intelligentsia, supported by many within Rheinland, both covertly and overtly. The first major actions of the Bundschuh were during Von Rohe's day when Bundschuh transports supplied rebelling miners and workers with arms to hold out against the military and police in revolt.

The Unioners are the workers and shipmakers, those downtrodden by the corporations and disillusioned with Rheinland's rampant industrialism.

The LWB are farmers and patriots. They hate the fact that Liberty corporations (Synth especially) have come to gain power within Rheinland.

The Hessians are the many miners who have becoming angry with the corporations and government. They are the by-product of the Popular Revolution (Von Rohe's day). Yes, it does appear that the Bundschuh created the Hessians... or at least had a hand in it.

The Bundschuh are the idealistic and angry academics and intelligentsia, wishing to overthrow the government, which has become the pawn of corporations. We are not soldiers, but rather pissed off romantics with guns and a whole lot of nerve.

The above post is simply my opinion. Others may disagree.

Perhaps name it the Machete? Light and agile, but deadly when in the right hands.
