I always imagined the rogues as a collection of multiple "gangs". Comparatively, the Order virtually seems richer what with their actual position as a military "secretive" (not so secretive) organisation extended everywhere - but, how does the Order economy works? weapon development and sales?
assuming it is based solely on this, then I am fairly certain Rogues do a better job at weapon dealing, and as such, Rogues would actually be richer than Order
' Wrote:Got to disagree with you Tena, There are a couple corporate factions that are probably wealthier than the house militaries, namely Ic and Samura.

Easily Unselie.
I've got a few large trader ships, and know some good routes. Last week i dropped 700M onto the clan treasury. There are five other Tigers in our trading wing. They could (if the lazy tikes traded as much as i do) drop equal amounts onto the treasury each week. I was chatting with the leader of a certain faction of a military stripe and he was agog at the amount of money our treasury has.
I'm not saying that the house militaries can't be bothered to trade, but that their trading has to be more lawfully aligned (BAF on the AO run much?). A non-governmental faction can bend the rules and hope they don't get caught, and pay the fine if they do, but if the LSF were to start trading cardi, all hell would break loose.
If we're talking about NPC factions:
The richest is OSC. Expensive ships, fairly good equipt, some nice trade runs from-to their bases, and the fact that they're supposed to cater for the rich. How rich is the Ritz? or the Dorchester? And how come i can mention the names of hotels in the UK and peeps across the world have heard of them? Because they have power also.
And how exactly do the Order make money Stew? Do they run illegal whorehouses, gambling dens, smuggling operations? Do they pirate every transport they can to rob them blind? The Rogues are a alrge organisation dedicated to piracy and criminal activity in the Sectors largest House. The Order however is supported by a few supporters and handouts. The Order is not a rich organisation. The Rogues are probably the richest criminal faction, being the only criminal faction with no higher purpose than making more cash from other folks misery.
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
I have considered IMG as a potential contender, but I felt I had to conclude that they are still at potential contender stage at this time. They have an incredible amount of raw resources at their hands, but relatively speaking to the rest of Sirius, IMG is a very young organization and lore so far states them as "loosely organized". That being said I would consider them amongst the top.
Similar to the way Canada is in the G8, huge amounts of raw resources with potential to be very rich in the future.
I can see IMG near the very top if not at the top later in Disco's time line when it starts to catch up to it's potential
Edit: Didn't make too much sense at first

Red Hessiens have turned pirates. They aren't revolutionaries anymore. Hogosha are dedicated to nothing but cash and political power.. Which in turn gets them more cash.
And even then.. Outcasts and Corsairs are both 'pirate' factions who are larger than the Rogues. Wealthier too. Outcasts extremely more wealthier. Piracy on a huge scale (Sigmas, Taus, Omicrons, Kusari, and Liberty), along with large amounts of Cardamine spreading to every house.
Corsairs have Artifacts and piracy, but Artifacts aren't as widespread or bought as much as Cardi. Cardi is sold over and over by the same people, however a person won't buy thousands of artifacts.. So Corsairs don't really have a guaranteed sale like OC do. Since the addicts have to have the Cardi. And Corsair's piracy usually pays for food from the Zoners.
Outcasts and Corsairs are not criminal organisations per se, although they are pirate factions. I'd consider them to be poor Houses sooner than rich pirates. I'd still say that Rogues are richer than Hessians, simply put we have more space to make money in, and the Liberty government is not nearly so dictatorial as the Rheinland one.

I agree, I did view the Hispania houses as "poor" houses that resorted to unlawful actions due to their unfotunate environments. Yes powerful which is why the term house is used, but poor cause of long isolation and an unfortunate start compared to the rest of the house.
And from what I remeber both are suffering from a major crisis that in story may result in the end of each rspective house.
Outcasts birth rate and Corsair hunger.
Actually Del, judging from Dab's post, the OC are the richest pirates, think of it, the Rogues may sell the Cardi, but do you really think the Outcasts are gonna let them have it for free? in addition to running their own Cardi, the OC are probably gonna exact some sort of commission from the Rogues. Secondly, the Rogues probably GET most of their weapons and ships from the OC or the mollies (built, b/c as i see it, the ROgues don't have much manufacturing capacity, while the Mollyies have Foyle Shipyard and Belfast)
Thirdly, the Outcasts and Corsairs and other criminals are exactly that, Criminals, nothing more, i mean you could say they are "poor houses" but they only control a few bases and a single planet each.
And the Rogues (as stated ingame) are made up of all sorts of criminals, so on the note of building their own vessels, i will give them this, there may very well be some people with engineering experience or building experience so they MAY be able to build their own ships
I'd tend to agree. Rogues to me, are your casual gangstas from all over the states under one same name.
Outcasts, they are the mafia, those behind every little crime opportunity, pulling the strings.
