She averted his gaze, ashamed. "I trust you.. I do. But..." The memories flooded her brain, and she started to cry, remembering the pain, both physical and emotional. "I.. I was abused.."
Without anything else to say, he immediately took her into his arms when she began crying, he'd been in this situation before. Years ago, when his sister had come home from work. It killed him then, it killed him now. "Who..?"
He almost whispered that question, he knew he'd regret asking the question, but now that he knew, he felt firm in his belief of wanting to be with her. He wasn't going to question what they were anyone, they met for a purpose, even if by coincidence. He was going to make sure of it.
"Knowing Humanity - We will be duty, bloody and unavoidable."
She cried softly, almost silently, not to wake Alejandro, burying her face into Lukas chest. "It was over five years ago, Lukas.." The tears started to fall over his jump-suit. "Long done, long gone, cariño."
He leaned back a little so that he could see her face, using his hands to cup her cheeks and stroke the tears away with his thumbs. Making eye contact with her again. "I know telling me this was hard, but now that I know this. You and I are permanent. I still want to know who, I can still find him and make him pay. Whoever he might be.
He wouldn't insist any more if she declined to tell him who, but he would find a way to bypass her refusal and to figure out who the Father was regardless. And then like any monster deserved, he'd put them down for the betterment of the Sector, doing Humanity a favor.
"Knowing Humanity - We will be duty, bloody and unavoidable."
The thought of violence once again, made her hide her face once again from his eyes. And she finally let go. In the midst of the sobbing, she started to talk. "I was travelling with mis padres to Freeport Cinco to buy supplies. Like us, a lot more in the transport... It was full."
She finally looked at Lukas in her own volition. "Hessianos appeared and instead of.. shooting down the transport.. they waited forced us to latch onto the cruiser.."
Her eyes became angry while the memory was replayed in her mind. "And then.. they took us, one by one... My parents were killed... And I was forced to watch... And then the capitán forced me to..." Her eyes became sad.. and she started to cry again against Lukas's chest. "When we were thrown back into the transport.. It was attacked. We managed to escape to Cinco.. And later I found out.. That I was with Alejandro."
He hadn't moved his hands, keeping her cheeks cupped in them, continuing to brush aside the tears. "I need something of Alejandro's. Something I can use for D.N.A Analysis. I have pull with the Hessians, if I know who I'm looking for, I can find him easily. And with what you've told me.. nobody will miss him if he died."
The moment of truth, would she trust him in doing this or decline and shrug it aside, he had his mind made up, he was going to do what he never could for his sister. He was going to give her closure, he wouldn't lose twice. And this man didn't deserve to live.
"Knowing Humanity - We will be duty, bloody and unavoidable."
He gave her a faint smile, mostly glad she was trusting him, his hands were gloved and thus it was safe to take the necklace from her, he'd turn around to slip it into a compartment in his suit for now, situated just on the thigh. "It's more than enough. I promise, he's finished."
With the necklace kept safely, he walked back over to her, embracing her again, except this time with a very gentle kiss. Trying to comfort her and let her know that what she'd told him hadn't changed anything between him. He meant what he said, from now on, they were permanent.
"Knowing Humanity - We will be duty, bloody and unavoidable."
His kiss was soothing,, it was what was needed. Safety, strength, a promise. Her arms closed under his, and she kissed harder, finally letting go after a couple of seconds."Thank you, Lukas..."
She looked at him and smiled sadly, and her eyes fell to the couch. The necessity of the current situation came back to her. "I.. I will go get you um corbertor, si?" She left the small living room, and disappeared into her room.
He wasn't sure what she meant by that. "Corbertor?"
He assumed she either meant that she was going to get him a pillow or a blanket. The gesture was sweet, he didn't plan on troubling for anything, it didn't seem fair to him, especially when he made her relive all that trauma. He'd already begin thinking of just how to eliminate this Captain discreetly and without having any attention drawn to the Coalition. "I appreciate you letting me stay here for the night."
He felt he needed to express his gratitude again and when she walked back out he could only smile at her again, even if it was faint, it was involuntary. After that kiss, he felt more awake. But he was well aware that he needed rest and didn't want to push for intimacy beyond what they'd already shared right now.
