:DIt is true thou 5 or 6 RM fighter nubs rape even an experienced gunboat pilot... maximum gun range only firing dodging blasting away... On the other hand 3 normal bombers cannot do it, (falcatas for example), red cats then again can... I remember once on a good day taking out 4 gmg taiidians...:yahoo:

It's funny because we will get swarmed by noobs to the point of getting used to it. When a veteran pilot comes in to play with us it can be a surprise for the first encounter. I laughed at myself a few times for underestimating my opponents. :haha:

Im not experienced but I made it... 6 fighters (1 viper, rest RM ships) ... viper and 1 RM died, 2 RMs lost guns and when rest 2 saw fleeing those without guns, they fled too. Numbers are nothing without cooperation:).

I would....:P....i had worst odds and survived.

And besides, GBs are used for killing fighters...but numbers defeat anything....and there is matter of the mood...when i am not in the mood, i can't kill a rhino :lol:

Aaaaanywho, not dying has never been a problem for me really, I die really really rarely. Thing is, I also don't kill that often.:P
I never was one of those that go against their RP(there are exceptions from people's RP although), and go to my death rather than retreat when defeat is inevitable.

What is something good to counteract them?

Teamwork or excelling at bombers.

Can fighters handle gun ships?

Not possible in a 1v1.

If I wanted to hunt pirates, they all have gunships, what can I do to get them?

Teamwork will apply here as well. 2 fighters could take a gunship down which is the basic way you should follow if you are not excelled at bombers and daring to go alone.
