I personally loved both Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64) and the original Super Mario Bros games (SNES). I'm surprised the first Mario games didn't make it on that list o.O

For me games that rocked my world were :

1. Independent Wars series (not comparable to any new game.. pure uniqueness)

2. Freelancer (fantastic, but not detailed as it should be, thanks to f-ing Microsoft)

3. Medal of Honor, COD series (1st shooters I enjoyed)

4. Heroes 3 (all versions and expansion)

5. Civilization series (one true strategy )

Games that i think should definately be in the list.

Empire Earth(the origional, newer ones have let it down) = the first game that i ever played, and still in my opinion one of the greatest RTS games ever.

Elder Scrolls Series = As far as i am concerned one of the greatest RPG series ever.

Shogun Total War = Probably not as well known as its descendants, but it led to a series of massive games including Rome and Medieval 2 Total War.

And of course Freelancer.

Deus Ex?
Fallout 1 and 2?
Counter Strike?
Baldur's Gate 2?
Starcraft?

All of these games have changed the gaming industry much more than any game mentioned on that list (except for WoW, maybe, even though WoW imo sucks).

Meh. I'll give 'em Doom. Oh the memories of 3AM demon slaying with the lights out...

What about old school Metal Gear? (the nintendo one)
...Or MGS. (The Gamecube re-release is sweet!)
The Tenchu series (except the recent couple)
Resident Evil 2 and 3. (4 is awesome, but doesn't fit the list)
Final Fantasy (The only series with "final" in the name that can spawn so many sequels and get away with it)
Ace Combat series

Like said so many times before, Games That Change the World was written off consumer sales reports vs. actually changing gamers lives...
