In terms of Junker bases, I'll follow the same as the above.
Give and take is what I would say when it comes to these sort of things.
The people who make the effort to make these RP posts ought to be treated with at least some respect for that. If you disagree, raise the argument with them and try figure out a compromise. Most people that tend to ignore these RP posts simply do it to be an ass, I know I have on occassion:P
In the end, a little bit of respect goes a long way for everyone.
Respect goes out the window when someone attempts to exile my character and countless others from it's corresponding zone of interest.
Might as well kill my character in roleplay or delete it without asking me, the end result is the same.
So when you made the no GB rule for Buff I was one of the guys who agreed that I would only restock there or cordnate from there. I then said I would use a junker or Alc. for my base. So now the junkers want to kick us off their bases and alc is now out of bounds. What do you want us to do??
Now, As far as it goes. I belive they can Police their base, like anyone else can Police a Guard System. Now, As it says, You cannot park your ship at the base. You can sit there? I belive. But, Not dock.
They just haven't got the supplys to be supplying all these big massive war ships.

Do I have to RP a moble home rather then a GS?
The line has some give, there's loopholes in place with the Junkers that'll allow you to operate.
Just bring back some cargo to replace the resources you take, and don't be seen is all. Beaumont is actually a fine place to hide -- it's RP canon that no law really goes there or has an exact fix on its location.
I'll amend my big mean statement to allow for gunships at Beaumont provided they don't bring the law down on us and don't hog up all the room. But to hell with Destroyers, they're supposed to be autonomous anyway.
EDIT: It's done. Just treat Beaumont like an emergency port, find your permanent home elsewhere.
I wont bother myself with backreading past the first page. Instead, i'll go ahead and post a slight reminder.
' Wrote:Neither individual players nor factions have the authority to dictate diplomatic guidelines or roleplay behavior to other players when it is contradictory to the intended diplomatic relationships hardcoded into the mod.
For example, if some Order players don't want to fight Liberty players, that is their perogative, but they have no right or authority to force anyone else to avoid such conflicts. Bullying, threats, or intimidation will not be tolerated on the part of individual players or factions.
It is the right of every player to follow the behavior of the NPCs belonging to their faction when it comes to combat and diplomacy no matter if other players or factions disagree with it.
Therefore, the recent "orders" posted from some players are null and void from a server rules standpoint. Any server-side enforcement of such edicts are illegal and sanctionable as OORP behavior, because they amount to forcing someone else to behave contrary to their faction's diplomacy. These edicts may be issued "in roleplay", and passive persuasion may be employed to support them, but no one else will be forced to follow them.

Del, as Slypheed, falls under the "Individual Player" portion of that quote.
Outcasts and Lane Hackers, even Mollies are allied to Liberty Rogues, which falls under the "intended diplomatic relationships hardcoded into the mod" portion.
Del's order, inRP as Slypheed, for the restrictions listed http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31726, falls under the "recent 'orders' posted from some players are null and void" portion.
Do all the inRP Punishment ya want, whoever follows this crap. But attack someone as punishment and i'll be rather disappointed to have missed it.

This was kinda uncalled for. Just because he doesn't agree and is willing to go against doesn't justify what basically comes down to name calling and threatening.
as far as server rules are concerned, no, there's nothing the LR can actually do to enforce this. If they attack other LR tagged/ID'd players who are not acting against canon RP, they're the ones that get sanctioned.
It's no differen than the black squadron players (and associated independents) who attacked [THC]Bigfatty for pvpwhoring against new york, and wound up getting sanctioned for pvp abuse.
People, you seem to miss the point of the post made before regarding the restriction.
Open our eyes and look at the thread location, its in the RP section. What does it mean...
IT WAS AN RP POST
It was an IN RP post concerning the rogues, hackers, outcasts whatever and CANNOT be enforced by PVP or SANCTIONS and will not be. It is but the choice of the individual if he wishes to follow these rules, then again, not many will and its only understandable.
That base in cali is the HQ of the LR. Allright, so IN RP you shouldnt dock there, but in game, you can and WILL dock tehre for reputation fixing, since alcatraz is one of the few rogue bases, which offers missions without stepping out of the ice cloud.
And about Del and admin rights...what has that got to do with it....has he said that you will be sanctioned for docking there? Or that you will find your char deleted? I think not.
This, IMO, that last bit regarding Dels status is completely irrelevant to the sudden flaming it got.
In short:
The post in discussion was made in an RP section, thus an in RP rule. Whatever you chose to follow the rule or not, will not lead to sanctions or pvp abuse or whatnot. Also, in RP you would have to dock your dessie to the huegenot base near cali lane in NY, that serves as a transfer point, thus, you dock the dessie there, it gets restocked by transports from Rochester and Buffalo, since IMHO, docking a ship half the seize of the base itself, while in an asteroid field, is far from smart.

Explain to me how destroyers dock to destroyers?
btw, nothing larger than a bomber/freighter can dock at the huegenot destroyer near the cali gate.
