Project: Toledo is in full swing.
1st|ONI-LNS-Serpenthorn
- Based on the 819 A.S. gunboat wreckage discovered around Toledo. Initial assessment of the prototype: We cannot bring functionality up to Defiant's standards. The ship's frame is heavy and requires heavy engines with high power core usage which restricts us to the same amount of weapon slots as the Defiant at a higher core and worse manoeuvrability
1st|ONI-Ptah
- Inspired by the graveyard vessels that bore the class moniker "Sekhmet". Clearly, the original was a bomber frame, we are facing the same issues - the frame supports the same core as the Upholder, but we are unable to match its manoeuvrability.
1st|ONI-Sobhekotep
- This vessel is below expectations so far. Its massive frame allowed us to mount a Super Heavy Fighter shield and in comparison to the Avenger, whose design is very similar, we managed to install and support an extra weapon. The issue however is - the ship is large, in a stress test in the field a Rogue Saber outperformed the clunky vessel, perhaps it is due to the ONI testers not being able to use it to its full advantage yet?
1st|ONI-Ankesenamun
- Tests have no been performed yet, the vessel we have constructed is based on the Executioner, with a standard heavy fighter frame. The Order's closest counterpart would be what they call the "Bastet".
1st|ONI-Ibis
- The only prototype that is a clear alternative to our arsenal. The Liberator is not as suited for undercover missions. The vessel this prototype is based on is the Onuris, and its radar signature is much dimmer, its wings both present tilted forward allowing for atmospheric surveillance.
The marvellous joys of progress. The sweet taste of the unknown. The thrill of the forbidden. This is the story of the final leg of our preparations, of our leap into the unknown.
The massive Liberty core and engines purring like a satisfied mammoth jungle cat, now it was time to make the cat into a properly armoured rhino that can burst through the depths of debris, asteroids or even our enemies. The first part was easy - Hull Segments that are plentiful in Liberty. Our team has, in the guise of a standard hauling mission of a Pegasus division requested escorts, and we went on to get hull segments from Baltimore and got them back easily.
The next part was not so straightforward - Ablative Armor. The vital part of our plan is to go longer and further than any Liberty expedition since the Colony ship itself. We couldn't ask for official permission, and we couldn't stay on the books. We took a risk and embarked on a trading mission to New Berlin, counting on the greed of The Ring quartermaster turning a blind eye to who their customer and whether we had papers were in order. It was thrilling, but we succeeded and avoided all military patrols. The Ablative armour was ours.
Upgrades
Quantum computing and multiplexors are game-changers for deep space missions like Project Daedalus. Resources will be limited on it's missions, and efficiency is crucial. With quantum computing, we can perform complex calculations faster and more efficiently than ever before. Multiplexors allow us to regulate multiple systems using a single quantum signal matrix, reducing the need for bulky and energy-
consuming equipment. This means we can save precious space on the vessel, use less energy, and process data more quickly. In deep space, where communication delays can be significant, fast and efficient computing is essential for making real-time decisions, analyzing data, and solving complex problems. It will make deep space missions more feasible and enable us to gather valuable information about the universe efficiently and effectively. To get the Multiplexors, we went to Pueblo itself, bypassing the trade lanes through Ontario to avoid prying eyes. Heavily escorted, in the end, we made it back unharmed. The Multiplexors were delivered.
The work continued, installing, fitting, and welding. It was a dangerous undertaking. The panels and ablative armour had to be installed while the centrifuge was functional as Willard has no functional dry dock - all was done the old way, in space, in space suits, welders, drones and hard grafts. And - eventually, we succeeded, it is beautiful, THE heaviest and best-armoured cruiser in Liberty Navy, to be used primarily in deep space. It can withstand more radiation than a standard Atlantis or Overlord. Its range is also longer than theirs, and the efficiency of quantum computing means it needs even fewer resources than any vessels in our arsenal.
It was a strange feeling stepping foot on the finished vessel, turning on the core and engines, and seeing the corridors light up. This vessel is old, formerly of our enemies, and we spent over three years trying to mould it for our purpose. And now - it's done, it's ready to take us further than we ever went.
With the vessel operational, we departed Willard.
and after loading up on standard-issue weaponry we went into the unknown.

This time the vessel performed well, on a surveillance mission in Auxesia territory we scanned multiple sectors of the system, before being betrayed by one Rebecca Harper - they clearly had been controlled by the Auxesians, the freelancer babbled something about Erie
What ensued was a battle unseen, Matt Cooper fought five hostiles just the two of us. We tried to escape, we tried to have our story, but the Auxesians were ruthless and without honour. The Sobhekotep has done splendidly alongside Cooper's defender, even outnumbered two and a half to one we took down the Auxesian leader Revenant down to their last nanobots. Incredible - the prototype might yet prove to be an improvement over the Avenger itself!
Vessel designation:1st|ONI-Ibis Point of construction: Juneau Shipyard, Alaska Purpose: Reconnaisance and intelligence gathering. Primary area of operation: Earhart, Deep Space, behind enemy lines.
Equipment: XV-330 Focused Plasma Array MKI
The vessel's design was inspired by the various technology recovered from the area around Planet Toledo. Due to the vessels lying inert from 819 A.S. and being scavenged since all that time, we couldn't recover a functional reactor core. Even if we did, our technology has gone far in that aspect since that time. Instead, we have heavily modified the Ageira XV-330s, attempting to extend their range and speed at the cost of power available to weapons systems. For this reason, the Ibis has Light Fighter manoeuvrability with improved range.
The vessel has been equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance and intelligence-gathering equipment.
Frame
The vessel is built around the wreckage recovered in Omicron Minor around planet Toledo. It attempts to imitate the design of an Order vessel of a design dating to 815-819 A.S. while improving upon it with the latest technology the Juneau engineers could muster.
The frame itself serves a different purpose from the Liberator, the presence of forward-tilted wings allows for high-altitude atmospheric entry and reconnaissance.
while providing the vessel with a tiny rear profile that avoids detection when retreating from intelligence-gathering missions.
Armaments
The vessel is armed very lightly due to its mission parameters. The weapons systems are of civilian origin to avoid traceability in case of capture, utilising the Boltstorm, Stunpulse, Javelin missiles and standard cruise disruptors.

With the Marinenachrichtendienst's open hostilities against Liberty, we must act. There is nobody to turn to, we are the last bastion of Liberty as other lawful forces have all but disappeared.
Rheinland's BDM has turned into a full-fledged criminal organization. Breaching many laws of Liberty, and engaging in other hostilities.
They are weak and completely petrified of the First Armada, choosing to run or engage entire fleets against a single vessel. They have no honor, they are acting like common criminals, and speculation is rampant that the organization may have been compromised by Rheinland's unlawful presence like the Unioners or Red Hessians, possibly even the Insurgency remnants.
ONI GOALS
Our job will be to investigate the Marinenachrichtendienst, and try to get to the bottom of the completely uncharacteristic open aggression and law-breaking coming from Rheinland - our strong economic trade partner. The target: Rheinland proper, and most importantly, Thuringia which we suspect is a bastion of the BDM. Unravelling its secrets might lead to unravelling what is behind the bizarre behaviour of the agents.
First attempt
The first foray into the system was unsuccessful. The system is heavily fortified, and even though one of our battlecruisers managed to bypass the defences leading into the system,
the stationary defences were too much to handle and we had to swiftly abandon the mission.
Going Forward - DAEDALUS DEPARTS
The time has finally come. Project Daedalus will be deployed in its first live mission. Although we are dealing with a potential criminal infiltration of Rheinland's intelligence, we cannot act overtly until we see other out-of-place activity from the rest of Rheinland. The vessel has been worked on for years, its centrifuge can sustain its crew for very long, deep space missions.
The crew are ready, they understand that they will be alone out there, and alone they may be for a very long time. All markings are gone that could link Daedalus back to ONI and the First Armada. These are some of our best agents, but I still feel uneasy about sending them so deep into the unknown, into a House that might be infiltrated. But this is a risk they and we have to take, for the sake of Liberty, for the sake of our House. We all know Rheinland's history, and we must do all we can so the events of 800 A.S. do not repeat themselves.

The Ptah has seen action again, I have uncovered more evidence for Rheinland's intelligence and the military's odd behaviour.
It's now all but confirmed - Rheinland Forces, much like in 800 A.S. are yet again under Alien infience. I do not know how this could have happened, they haven't been careful, or they were greedy once again - but it is clear that another war might be on the horizon. The data didn't come from Project Daedalus which is on its way to Thuringia as we speak to investigate the BDM, but from Rheinland's regular forces that our scout has discovered in Omicron Delta.
TheRNC-Einbeck and [RM]Fl-Frieda.Voigt have been infected with what our model's estimate is an 87.58% probability. The shadow of a doubt is pre-meditated and controlled by Rheinland's attempts at integrating experimental technology, but if history has taught us anything, that remains an unlikely probability.
We must increase our surveillance of Rheinland, the Unmarked Project Daedalus should aggressively investigate BDM and [RM] deep in Rheinland, no matter the cost or risks to the crew, as timely information could prevent another war. The times are dire, Rheinland forces can no longer be trusted, and ONI recommends that additional forces begin moving towards Hudson and Bering to prevent possible invasion or sabotage attempts at Cold Bay Depot or our territories. I have contacted the Core Guildmasters as their anti-alien procedures in our assessment can be trusted.
