Update: the scientists and support staff have been mostly evacuated. Continue to shore up Atka's hull while Cryer decides what to take off the station next!

Just to clarify, two Maltese warships wouldn't just rock up and wait allowing any evacuation. They'd be escorted by a flurry of snubcraft and within a very short time would have nuked the station and disappeared without a trace other than a wrecked station.
The general point of events is to generate activity. It has already been established a few times with events gone by that limited trade events are boring and just run out too early, defeating the object. We should learn from this. I don't know why a trade limit is thought to be a good idea.
We're sat around waiting for this event to be put back on. Can you up the existing limit, or figure out a new route.
I should say that the event is otherwise fine and has been interesting enough so far.
Update: The Core has done its part to put boots on the ground in the Freeport, so now it's up to the Zoners to reinforce their allies.
(edit: to clarify, Core ships can still haul Zoner Marines from Gran Canaria)

Event background right there on the first page Wrote:With little advance warning, the structural weak points around the receiving docks fell in minutes, with the station itself barely energizing its shields in time to prevent critical damage. Not expecting an easy victory, the Outcast battlegroup has already settled in for a siege, hoping that their previous allies buy them enough time in Theta to get the most out of this opportunity.
Now that the Cryer scientists are relatively safe (most of them), they are clamoring to get their hands on their proprietary research, which will need to be detached from the very station.

Can we also clarify KNF/Blood Dragon/Corsair involvement in the Atka part of the event?(having not being mentioned at all prior)
That is a question the players need to answer for their own characters. Since we have a new Blood Dragon faction, I would ask there as well. I will say that any cooperation with KNF seems unreasonable, since Kusari itself isn't threatened by nomads or anything.
The KNF likely heard that there's a refugee crisis of some kind, but I can't imagine they're too involved, besides ensuring the safety of lawful vessels in Kusari. For how they should respond, consider the Kugov laws. As you can see, Outcasts are marked "Hostile", Blood Dragons are marked "At War".
Corsairs are focused on Theta and likely have little interest in a theater they recently decided to abandon to deal with the Theta crisis.
