[ShipTypeBonus]

ship_class_bonus = 1, 1.2, 1.6, 1.0
ship_class_bonus = 2, 1.2, 1.4, 1.0
ship_class_bonus = 3, 1.2, 1.6, 1.0
ship_class_bonus = 4, 1.2, 1.6, 1.0
ship_class_bonus = 5, 1.2, 1.6, 1.0
ship_class_bonus = 14, 1.2, 1.5, 2.0
Try a BMM Hegemon in the Leeds toxic waste field then. The limited fire-arc and non-existent maneuverability makes that a bitch. If a player-gunboat makes the mistake to stay too long in your firing arc, however, it gets a nice surprise.

Has anyone tried the maneuverability of a Battlecruiser in the new mining field compared to a Hegemon?
Battlecruisers have no strafe and no bonus, and they're basically useless for that. Hegemons get a sizable bonus for killing the asteroid itself, and they have a good buffer cargo for holding things in. A good hegemon can keep two undersized transports relatively happy and the true mining speed of a good solo hegemon is somewhere between 1-2 good transports as well.
The best way to go with group scaling is to either go with hegemon + transport scale or if you want a large operation it is possible to do 1 hegemon 1 fighter and several transports.
I never mentioned that the Battlecruiser should target the ore nodes itself, this work is for the Arrastras, just the flak cannons for the lids. But the damage booster is a valid argument. Still worth a try.
