Sorry for my late reply, but I was out for a moment.
We've already talked about this, But what the hell.
We Fought (Briefly)
We Argued (Not Briefly)
We Yelled (For Help)
We Discussed (Here)
While this Thread was not my idea, I do think it was a necessary one, as even though there are no hard feelings between DXI and the OPG ('Cept for the whole enemies thing >.>"), I would like to have this thing cleared up so that this thing doesn't happen to others. I would also like to thank Ivan for his cooperation and sincerity in this matter.
To comment on earlier stuff:
I think the IMG Faction itself should be the deciding factor on this issue, 'cause it seems like there is still a lot of confusion about it.

My corsair char has gained docking rights at IMG bases because he helped IMG traders against the Hessian scum.
Both Corsairs and IMG fighting the same enemy, and the reputation dependency is neutral, while the Corsair's allies the Gaians and The Order are friendly to IMG.

If Corsairs are to get docking rights on IMG bases, then someone should fix the issue of IMG NPCs shooting Corsair NPCs first. I could understand if docking for certain Corsair factions was approved by IMG faction due to amicable relations (for whatever reason that might be), but for all Corsairs I think it would violate the story set by the mod, until of course the reps got fixed.

Have you even seen a corsair NPC not shooting at the junkers in S13 ?
Have you ever seen a bounty hunter NPC safe more than 2 minutes in liberty ?
Corsairs NPC pirate anything they can, even OSC the corsair ID restrict us to do so.
There is a difference between NPC behaviour and players behaviour.
Now I should leave few arguments about why the corsairs should or should not dock in their bases :
1. Corsairs are pirates operating in Omegas, Omicrons and Sigmas while the IMG is mainly implemented in the Tau systems.
2. Corsairs are destroying the whole IMG concurrents ships, I name the BMM and the GMG.
3. The IMG is not openly dealing with the bretonians factions and are mostly operation between their own bases (Freistadt), such things make the IMG out of Corsairs's strategicals targets.
4. Corsairs are still disrupting IMG convoys through the Omegas systems like any convoy on way to or from Bretonia would be.
Don't whine cause we don't have to dock in FP1 and then justify QCP actions. They started somehow a war.
Totally unrelated to anything QCP. This is about proper roleplay. Now, you also are wrong on quite a few accounts:
Quote:Have you even seen a corsair NPC not shooting at the junkers in S13 ?
Many times. As long as the Corsair/Junker NPCs don't demand cargo from each other, they are fine and dandy.
Quote:Have you ever seen a bounty hunter NPC safe more than 2 minutes in liberty ?
No, but they are not attacked by anybody with whom bases they dock on. Not on sight anyways.

Once again, wrong. Corsair NPC reputation is set to negative neutral with OSC. Not hostile.
Quote:1. Corsairs are pirates operating in Omegas, Omicrons and Sigmas while the IMG is mainly implemented in the Tau systems.
IMG have a significant presence in Bretonia (3 bases), and in Omega systems (2 bases). IMG and Corsairs meet quite a lot.
Quote:2. Corsairs are destroying the whole IMG concurrents ships, I name the BMM and the GMG.
GMG is not in any way a competitor to IMG. If anything they are neutral to friendly, as they both fight Outcasts and Corsairs funnily enough. BMM is also hated by Mollys, your argument being what?
Quote:3. The IMG is not openly dealing with the bretonians factions and are mostly operation between their own bases (Freistadt), such things make the IMG out of Corsairs's strategicals targets.
The IMG have 3 whole bases in Bretonia, only one of those is a "freeport". Cardiff is a mining facility, and South Shields is a refinery. That means they most certainly do deal with Bretonian factions, as they maintain their infrastructure within Bretonia proper.
Quote:4. Corsairs are still disrupting IMG convoys through the Omegas systems like any convoy on way to or from Bretonia would be.
Speaks for itself.
Take also note that there isn't a single Corsair NPC on any IMG base anywhere...
Now, be assured I'm not looking to have a quote war here, however ingame diplomacy is what it is. What I am saying is: change the mod so that this issue is gone, or have the Corsairs get the proper stance to the IMG. This involves not docking at their bases.
All I know for sure is that Aland is not supposed to be open to everyone. Freistadt, the Hood, and Freeport 4, sure. The IMG is more unfriendly-neutral with Corsairs and friendly-neutral with Hessians.

Not exactly. There is a jumphole to Taus near South Shields Refinery. IMO this is main route between South Shields and IMG bases in Taus. Some products/ore are sent to IMG partners in Bretonia, but the rest probably is send back to IMG facilities - don't forget that IMG makes also a ships used by freelancers/mercenaries in whole Sirius. The same situation is with Cardiff - its very close to Omega-3 and Alan Shipyard.
Second thing - look at the faction description, only ally of IMG is ALG, there are no allied bretonian partners,
One: Why would IMG put their bases on (invariably extremely expensive and time consuming) tradelanes if they just wanted to trade through jumpholes with themselves?
Two: Why would IMG take REFINED ORE from a REFINERY back to a MINING BASE?
Three: If you don't know gateway and IMG are buddies, lol.

Yes, i know that IMG is biggest supplier of the Gateway, and that is the main cause of connecting bases to tradelanes.
About point two: I didn't say ther ire is taken back to MINING BASE, there is IMG facility in Tau 39, there is also Alan Shipyard in omega 3 - where materials can be delivered using tradelans.
My point was - yes. IMG have contacts with Bretonian partners, but they are not limited to Bretonia. IMG is loose confederation of miners who sells they ore where they want - for example almost all niobium mined in O49 is sold to Zoners. Also, please go to Java in Tau 23 and read local news - it seems that IMG was threatened by Bretonian Government. They are more like Zoners, trying to not get involved in any conflict. IMG have also bases in systems controlled by Kusari - and Kusari tolerate them, while other Bretonian companys are not welcome there.
