I view the pirate's attempt to gain dominance in-roleplay over my character with their character as a part of the price I do not wish to pay, and I usually do not give pirates the satisfaction of submissive roleplay. If a pirate wants me to compromise my self-esteem, in rp or not, just to make the trade run, then I don't play along. This is a game, not a competition.

Note to self: If pirating any px| taged player named huxley insult his dignity for a free load.






Also, here's an example of a PROPERLY concluded encounter with a pirate.

note how I sent the nub DOUBLE what he sent me once it was concluded.

Ok, sure it was just a 100k tax on an empety Camara and I just sent him 200k.

But it's the principle of the matter.


Now, I encounter someone with a high level who RPs, they simply get taxed less.

I encounter someone with cash or a load who wont RP.......... I call up a junker to fence it if I cant sell it myself.

I had to laugh ate a pirate yesterday.
I had just setup a mining ship and started to mine. So at this point i have no credits on the character. This pirate uncloaks 3 k away from me, he then starts coming towards me and says 15 mil or die.
At this point I have 500 ore in my hold. I tell him I don't have the 15 mill. I drop the cargo and destroy it. and then he kills me.

If he had rp'd some what I would have got the money. but in this case I died knowing he got zip,nada, nothing.

I laughed afterwards because he told me I must remain off the server for 4 hours.

Blue screens are their own reward, trust meh. Of course, as for a lolwhut trader, as in, Run immediatly, rules lawyer, ETC, I rip off their guns ,shield, thruster , weaken the hull a ton, and then chase them to a dockpoint.

I really laughed later because he left the system and I did not see him in game for the rest of the night.

It was really satisfying knowing he got nothing. I just got on my trader and traded in another system.

Lol, some days ago i was in Colorado with my Gunboat id Merc.
Two loltridentes stop me, and demand to drop my 20 crew:D, obiuvsly i refused, it havent sense in rp. Then they open fire, but i destroyed both.
Two seconds and the started PM me for oorp, 'cause i opened my fire whitout say Engaging.

YOU HAVENT SAID ENGAGE!! ILL REPORT U!

If I were trading, I'd have hired someone for sure. If I met someone providing the service (escorting, mind you). But of course I won't yell after every jump "Hey! I want an escort NOA!". Hence [Escort] or something like that.

Sure, i have Merc tag, and i promote my services. But i had only 1 client.
