Actually I think that depends completely on one's taste. 20 hull dmg per shot less than say, Drakes, similarly sized projectiles (edit: to drakes')(which compensate for relatively low speed) and a lot more energy efficient....

Or are you saying that for instance, Drakes and Dissies suck? I'll say it again, that depends completely on your taste. That's the reason I'd like to see your idea implemented.

Yes, but again, it depends on ones taste. For instance, on a Sabre, I like to put 6 refire 4.0's and 1 Deb turret. And with Phoenixes thats just impossible. There is also a downside with HF's. There are people who use HF's, and if they are indies (indie pirates, mercenaries?) they basically have no weapons to choose from, unless they ask factions for permission. And again, restrictions come to play.

Dissies and Drakes can't be used by everyone. And yes, for me they suck. With damage of 500-520 and with low range and speed, you won't be able to hit a good fighter with that (IMO). As you said, it depends on what one likes.

3.03 and 4.00 should have 750m/s since flashpoints and debis have the same but with lower damage like.

4.00

475/237
750m/s
700m range
110 energy

3.03

620/310
750m/s
700m range
~170 energy

I think this could actually work. Lugers will get a buff so don't say they are worse (they'll be like 660 damage)

Let them, a lot of them use debilitators, eagles or codenames anyways. A lot of capships already use basic turrets instead of the faction ones, but nobody complains. Official factions COULD restrict the usage of Civi guns like for example |Sails restricted the codenames (2 codeweps/ship).
And indies...Well they use whatever they want anyways.

YEah because they do 2400-2800 damage/second and having them with 700-750m/s would be pretty overpowered. But the mentioned civi gun stats above could actually works since their damage is the lowest but the energy usage is average. (though these stats were created just now so they might have some problems with balance don't know)

Ok If we are getting civvy weps please Donot make 750m/sec 2.0s make them either 600 or 650
