Thank you for your legwork Fletch, you rock like a crack-ho:D

Still, I'm all for someone to show something that goes against my thinking...cause hell, for the record, I couldn't care less about game mechanics & all the bitch threads that go with it & whatnot...I'm all about how society affects the daily lives of our characters & the N-N is so interwoven in their lives that no one seems to think twice about it enough to make a thread asking opinions about the tech behind it & just assume it's the same outdated stuff we still use today:cool:

::edit- to be clear, I'm just commenting back-handedly that it amazes me how rare this topic is compared to all the Q_Q threads about game mechanics in lieu of character mechanics. heh!::

I guess I've always thought of the Neural-Net being in your brain. Kinda makes since with the name after all. Not really sure how you would quite access it and perform different functions like actually being able to see what would normally be on a screen, also clicking and control over the pointer kinda evades me but what the hell? It's the future so anything is possible.:D

My reasoning for that is headsets with eyepieces, where we tell the interface what to do. Either through speech or thoughts.

In the comm windows a lot of pilots have eye pieces. So its possible with my theory. That tech is in its infancy even now.

That does make sense, with the eye pieces and the verbal commands. Now that I'm really starting to think about it how could this become possible. Like would you have some sort of advanced chip that would be somehow "plugged-in" so to speak in your brain? I mean like you said, some of that technology is in its infancy now and who knows how far it could go in the time elapsed since now to present day in Sirius.

Coming from Cyberpunk and Shadowrun (no, they aren't FL servers) it was always evident to me. You know, real Sol-fans even have the flatvid version of movies, than the various 3d holoprojection stuff came, and than the neural-technologies. Maybe you grandfather had an ugly interface like we saw on matrix. And here's an early version of the implanless holotain, from before it became so comfy as we know it now. By the way, holotainment's name is misleading, I propose to rename those to neural-tain. :)
