While I didn't think of that. Why believe them? Yes, they've invaded. But personally, if I were to wage war, I'd give my enemy misinformation. Which is exactly what the Council could be doing. It's not all clear cut. No one has a reason to trust the Council yet.

I was not refering to World War II, I was refering to a ficticious situation where Germany attacked France, and England has solid evidence that Germany was going to attack them next.

Aren't the Xenos a small ragtag group of people who try and prevent foreign trade with liberty?
If Liberty cannot stand against Gallia now you expect us to believe the Xenos can? Heck, the Gaians even turned tail and ran when Gallia broke through Lewis! But now the Xenos are like what, Liberty's savior or something?
I hear what you are saying Zelot. They are more than likely going to disrupt and attack Gallic shipping and just be a nuisance, however, they are not going to be able to make any dent into the Gallic forces. Two houses (Bretonia/Kusari) get their you know what handed to them, but the Xenos can stand against them?
It would have been more believable to send Liberty fleets to Bretonia to head off or slow down the Gallic onslaught than sending in the Xeno calvary!
When you've spent the last year turning that system full Hellfire Legion mode, you can say that.
This is the .86 storyline, people. In .86, Vespucci's going Hellfire Legion. NPCs, ships, the works. That's done, that's settled, it's been settled for a year and a half now, and now the Development is openly and blatantly ignoring it. This is the equivalent of the storyline saying that the IMG is based out of Tau-44, or the Xenos are based out of Omega-52 (for those of you who don't remember, the SCRA originally used a Xeno ID). Hello?

The evidence given is clear and verifiable.
But still, Xenos are not whole state and their numbers are few even in scale of Liberty. We don't have resources to fight in Bretonia. Nor we want to.

' Wrote:Lane Hackers
Based in the Vespucci system and their outposts in the Independent Worlds, the Lane Hackers continue their activities within the House of Liberty and beyond its borders, but the economic decline of Bretonia forced them to seek new, more profitable markets and they head as far as Kusari. Leiden Base has proved a safe drop-off point for Kusari-based operations.
The Hackers, along with Brigands, now became involved with politics: many of them have old ties with members of The Order, and while The Order ships can hardly get into Liberty these days, Lane Hackers often fulfill the role of couriers to transfer people, and information, from the planets of Liberty and from the Rogue bases towards Omicron Minor and Omicron Mu.
4.86 storyline? That's the closest I found to the HF in the storyline, and it says the LH are still based in Vespucci.
' Wrote:I was under the impression that the direction of all factions was determined by their respective official factions already, else why have a thread asking the direction the official factions wanted to take their respective factions in?
Please don't make me pull up my test build screenshots.
While factions are asked for input, the Dev team ultimatly controls the direction of factions that are included in the storyline. I dont know the details of why the story was written that way. To why, I am only guessing, but I know other factions that are not from vanilla have given other significant control of the background and the storyline of their factions so they could be included in the storyline.
