As is my understanding, Coalition operatives sabotaged the Hispania sleeper ship and people went their separate ways. As the years went on, resentment due to the sabotage and conflicting interests between the survivors, a divide grew, which has now split to astronomical proportions over a period of 100s of years. Really? I don't think either of them know what they were ORIGINALLY fighting over anymore, even if it may be turf wars and contraband trade now.

Perhaps a little communications error. Contraband trade and pirating grounds was what they originally where fighting for, but they never went out of their way to kill each-other the way they seem to now. It was more of a "Hey, they're stealing our soon to be stolen goods. Get them!" sort of thing.
But this is hijacking the topic a bit.
Both the Corsairs and Outcasts have more than each-other to worry about. Neither side really gains anything from destroying the other. In fact, if one side won the war, they'd have try and keep from being crushed from all sides with a more diluted fleet.

(Oh, wait, I'm not supposed to leak that, am I? :P)
On a more serious (Sirius?) note, the grief we took from our Non-Agression Pact, which was done in RP and has actually ended up working out rather well in the grand scheme of things, would tend to mean that there won't ever be a United Hispania. Well, that, and the Outcasts still worshipping Nomads. (I know, Dennis, but I have to spread that rumor every chance I get - someone may end up believing it at some point...)
Wait, wait, wait, there is a Non-Aggression Pact between the BHG and the Corsairs now!? Ugh, what else did I miss during my two-year absence...?
As for the topic at hand, I actually think it is very likely that a minority of the Corsairs and the Outcasts want to unify with each other. Obviously, the vast majority still want war, but it's not that far-fetched to assume that a minority want unification. Besides, there's actually a news story that you can find in some Junker bases that says some Corsairs and Outcasts are actually having romantic relationships with each other.
While it is completely unrealistic to expect a massive unification between the entirety of the two factions, I think it is very likely that a group of people from both sides would want to stop fighting, settle down together, and create a Mini-House similar to what the Coalition has right now. They would probably settle down in a system closer to the five Houses and attempt to create a unified Hispanic Mini-House. If this actually happened, they would probably control one or two, at most three, systems, be neutral to friendly with the lawful Houses, and have a military half the size and strength of a regular House military.
I can actually kind of picture this: Planet New Madrid would be the capital planet, Rome Station (the Outcasts are part Italian) would be the major trading station (kind of like Newark Station near Planet Manhattan), Athens Shipyard (the Corsairs are part Greek) would be the major shipyard (in Ancient Greece, Athens was known for its navy), and Sparta Military Academy (in Ancient Greece, Sparta was known for its army) would be the major military academy.
Would it be possible to actually implement something like this?
Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits
Its very interesting idea I give you that, but intstead of ending the fight between the two faction how about make a sub corsair faction that want to end the fight, kinda like corsair ID and outcast IFF crazy I know...
The outcasts and corsairs are powerful, however they are quite simply not as strong as a single house.
Houses control multiple planets in highly developed systems with billions of people inhabiting their space.
Although the outcasts and corsairs have had the same development time, it has been in a very hostile area, with fewer of their own people and no proper neighbours to trade with for many many years.
The idea that a very small minority of them would be able to control multiple systems, have a fleet anywhere near half the size of a house navy and not simply be swallowed up by the greedy houses is silly, to say the least.

When I said "half the size/strength," I probably should've re-worded it. In my haste to get an idea out there, I screwed up the proportions. Realistically, it would probably be a mere fraction of the House militaries.
And I said that if a minority were to unify and settle down somewhere, which I believe is very possible, they would most likely control at most three systems. This isn't really that unrealistic. The other Houses control somewhere close to ten systems I believe. Ok, maybe three would be pushing it, but like I said, it would be the maximum of what they could possibly control.
The closest thing I can compare to a potential Hispanic Mini-House would be the Coalition. It controls only one system (Omega-50 or Omega-52?), but it functions as its own society away from the other Houses. The Hispanic Mini-House would most likely be the same, although there's a possibility that it would want to be on more friendly terms with the other major Houses. It would most likely also have a military smaller than that of the Coalition since the Coalition society is highly militarized, but as far as I know, the Hispanic society isn't.
