On route to Frankfurt, I ran across a civi transport with Zoner IFF and all. Didn't think much of it until I took a quick scan and saw something that tripped my trigger. Identified myself workin for Rheinland and disrupted the lane to have a chat with the captain of that trade ship.
Now I gave that boy all the chances in God's universe to come to terms with his situation, but his answer was to bribe an officer of the law! Really! Then spoutin off how hes a Zoner Guard and how he's just transportin the counterfeit software from one Zoner place through another. Well he darn well could have taken another route.
Yea, and I'm just upholding Rheinland laws. Funny thing about laws, gota follow them.
No offence to the Zoner Guards, but I'm more afraid of getting branded by Rheinland as a breaker of the law then any Zoners thinking that house law somehow don't apply to them.
Being a former marshal out on a dusty town in Texas, I pride myself on learnin the law. Lets see here, yep here it is:
As part of Rheinland Law under cargo regulations, counterfeit software is classified R3 cargo and therefore can only be transported legally by a Researcher.
Now, unless some cosmic loophole has been invented, a Zoner Guard ain't no way a Researcher. Maybe that varmint needs to research the law of the land a mite more and guard his zoner pride befer thinking he's above the law.
I opened fired on the varmint and when most law breakers have a easier time listening to the law, I gave him yet another chance to think it over. I just wasn't getting through. The local recruit patrols didn't like him much either and they finish the varmint off. I disposed of the illegal goods and headded to Frankfurt.
Get this, when the Med -a- vacs picked him up, he started screamin how I owe him for his lost cargo. Now that aint right. That's like stormin into a man's home, breaking his favorite chair and demandin the home owner pay fer the damages. He's gona be watin a long time.
A bit late on my report, I think I'm going to start drinking or take up some bad habit after this. At launch from Meinz station, we held position in front of the station for a few minutes and monitored a ship ID Fog and it was a Liberty gunboat! It didn't leave the trade lane five seconds and it started firing on me immediately. It hit us full bore with its forward cannon and main guns and we took evasive action, swinging around Meinz station and sending out a general distress call.
I had no idea of the capability of a Liberty Gunboat until that engagement. It apparently was more maneuverable that our Gunboat so we took up a standard turret defensive position, using the rotation of the guns to out maneuver it. We were able to hold our own but that Liberty ship was quite tenacious.
I was elated when a Rheinland fighter SnH-Snakie showed up but was a bit distraught that it just held position for over a minute before engaging. He later stated he had just woke up and was taken back that there was a Liberty ship right in front of him. Aside from my bit of panic, we managed to take out the gunboat. I, um, think we are officially on Liberty's wanted list.
I presumed that with a cargo ship that size that 99 units of a synthetic drug was for personal use as they also had standard medications on board as well. One note that prompted this report, since that ship has no armaments, it can't outright aggravate any of our patrols but on exit from Frankfurt into Sigma 13, it was fired upon by local patrols. I can only presume that the small amount of synth Marijuana it had was enough to invoke their response, but I can't be sure.
Also, Kent and I have been seeing a higher level of zoner ships, mainly transports, entering into Rheinland space trying to excuse themselves from following the laws of Rheinland. Has anyone else seen this? We try to remind them of the situation they find themselves in but refuse to comply and we're forced to open fire on them. I don't know much about the Zoners but are they aware of House rules or is it just a outright disregard of them?
Later on in the patrol, we caught Quark.Nog heading out of the Hamburg jump hole, making his way towards Mainz station. He was uncharacteristically quiet but we didn't wait for him to call in reinforcements and didn't hesitate to open fire on him the moment he came into range. The local patrols quickly entered into the fray and were able to inflict damage as we perused Nog to the Hessian base. He almost managed to land but we were able to dispatch him before their docking controls had time to lock on.
Finally, we ran into an Order bomber exiting from the Munich system. Again, we're unsure of the respects that Rheinland and the Order have so we just scanned them and let them be. Ship statistics as follows.
Sekhmet - 019A Order Bomber
Ship ID: The Order
Ship Name: <=-Razor-=>
They took no aggressive action and merely went on their way. I'm just sure glad Hudson wasn't there, they have a shoot on sight order for him.

We're seeing an increase amount of transport ships transporting Copper ore to the Liberty systems. More specifically, ships belonging to the Independent Miners Guild. We're not even seeking out these guys, they're just poppin up all over like this one in Stuttgart. We followed them all the way through New Berlin, seeing if they had a mite bit of sense in them, sadly we had to remind them of that funnly little thing called a war and the embargo. We're asking them to head to Bretonia and they say that's where they're going to, but unless Hamburg has some secret way into Bretonia, they are flat out lying to us. The law is the law, aint no two ways about it. I got no room in my heart for people dun take the law and make it somthin its not.
But this story has an ironic type ending. See he landed somewhere in New Berlin and I figured that varmint would try to make an end run on me through a different system. Didn't know the boy had less sense in him then a mule, trying to go through Military guard territory. No way I was going to follow him in there. Seconds later, that copper ore he valued so much went into space with the rest of his ship. I dun told that boy that he could head to Bretonia with no issues. Guess greed gets them all in the end. You can run from justice, but ya cant escape it forever.
Within Frankfurt, we headed to Munich after seeing a transport towards that system. Within range, we immediately identified the ship. Ship statistics as follows.
We chased the transport into Munich where it landed with the battleship midway into the system. We tried to converse to the transport the illegalities of such an endeavor and they merely those people as a commodity to be bought and sold. As a result, we are reporting them to the Criminal Database. We lost communication with the transport soon after.
We saw that transport within Frankfurt earlier on and followed it into Munich where we eventually caught it carrying military vehicles. Our initial communications with the transport were fruitless and we were forced to fire upon it even giving it one more chance before eventually taking down the craft.
They must have had a quick repair crew and a short memory because they lifted off from Munich again with military Vehciles and attempted to hide within a Rheinland patrol, thinking we wouldn't fire on them while so close. They were wrong. Attempting to remind them, again, of the Rheinland restrictions, they flat out ignored our communications, leading to their destruction again. As a result of their outright disregard for their situation, they will now find themselves on the Criminal database.
//ooc: they apparently have no idea about game rules, launching a 3rd time with military vehicles and should find themselves without a transport soon if they keep that type of RP up.

We were already on the lane to Mannheim but we stopped to take the images to report this. We'll get them later, for now, we'll report this and listed it in the RCD.

We would like to get an idea, and update, something, about Omega 7 situation. I flew into the system with miners and trade ships fleeing to Stuttgart. They identified a Slaver Pilgrim ship, ID ForSale, no really, that's it title, that was blowing up transports and miners. Well we left the camera off, sorry about that, but we chased that Pilgrim slaver and took it out. When I mean We I mean Me and a damn Corsair Gunboat! OK?! We took it out, then a Hessian Gunship came into the system. Ok it gets better.
The Corsair Gunboat, started pirating miners and I did an about face, and said my peace and fired a SNAC to get that guy to back off. Ok, then the Hessian comes in saying how Omega 7 space is under their control, rule, order something. So I'm confused at this point, more so than when the Corsair was protecting miners, be as it for his own gain but damn. Then they went back and forth about fines, paying money, more pirating. Well I had enough of that crap. Told Joey to charge the SNAC again and we went at it. Took the Corsair out in no time.
Ok, so now the Hessian Gunship PAYS me 1 million. Like I was going to say no, but I'm floating there and having NO flipping clue what just happened. We had the Hessian Gunship in range but with three other 'freelancers' floating around not doing anything but fighting for money, I was afraid they were going to go Mercenary on my butt and quit while I was ahead.
But yea, um, what's going on? Did the Hessians make 'peace' with Rheinland? Or no?
Part two was a Zoner Cruiser with Zoner Guard ID. I thought Capital ships weren't allowed to fly through Rheinland space? They weren't doing anything illegal, except that Capital ship violation thing. Any help on this?
Finally, another Pilgrim slave liner, shipping VIPs with a Slaver ID. I thought A Slaver with people is well, bad. Help me out here.

[--- System ID: New Berlin ---]
I'll be reporting this since it's one of my own countrymen taking their liberties with Rheinland and Bowex Bretionia to lie to my face about some vacuous permission they got from Rheinland to carry Military Vehicles. We did a search and can find no proof that this ship is allowed to carry this cargo.
Now I've seen many who had permission to work with a house policy one way or another and it works two ways: if you're legit and have nothing to worry about, you adhear and submit. If you're a lying sack of crap, then you make excuses and run. No one calls me a thug while they get some anti-clockwise notion that because they are part of something big, they can break any law they want. If my own countrymen can't get that simplistic notion through their skull, then who the bloody well can?
But enough with my vent, here is the situation. I caught a Borderworld Transport shipping military hardware and at once asked it to stop. The captain of the Bowex)BES.Bonny.Lass stated that he had permission from Rheinland to carry such cargo. The moment someone starts spouting how we don't have the authority to ask or uphold that law, its pretty damn clear they have no permission. I chased it all the way into New Berlin and implored it to return to Munich. It wasn't happening.
Upon landing at New Berlin I asked Richards and Kent to launch and get ready for that transport. Kent gave him more of the same, and the transport kept shoveling the same garbage at us.
When the Bowex)BES.Bonny.Lass reached Omega 7, I gave Richards the go ahead to take it out. It was dispatched in Omega 3 along with smuggledcargo. Bowex or not, I'm reporting that bastard to the [color=#FF0000]Rheinland Criminal Database.
We ran into two Hessian Gunships bearing Dragon IFFs. Their ID's held them as Hessian Guards and they said they were Hessians from top to bottom. To be honest , I froze up. We didn't fire at them or the rookies that slowly swarmed us. I'm sorry. When we were ordered to hunt them down in New Berlin, I reluctantly searched out for them hoping to get even one bomber support, but there was a Military engagement in Hamburg and we were on our own. A Kusari stransport told us the Frankfurt and Stuttgart gates were clear so we first went to the Dresden gate then Hamburg then back to Frankfurt and Stuttgart and we didn't find them. No further reports of their incursions were seen that night. Ship details as follows.
Heimdall - RH-GM110 Red Hessian Gunship Name: [KvS]Mephisto & [KvS]Einauge ID: Red Hessian Guard IFF: Dragon Cargo: N/A
Still within Frankfurt I received an order to assist in the hunting down of some Hessians within Omega 11. Just as I was about to enter New Berlin, I ran across some Civilian bomber call ship with a Pirate ID. After a terse conversation, it actually tried to pirate me for 3 Million. I also had some notion that it was going to assist those in Omega 11 and it was enough to open fire. The fight went longer than it should, but we managed to take out that bomber. Ship details as follows.
I told those who followed me that Rheinland was the best chance we had at victory. Not just for our homes but for Sirius. I asked Jake about attacking Liberty ships and I agreed that we wouldn't fire on any of them openly. That all changed when Owens was attacked by one in Frankfurt and I thought that was a rouge incident that would never happen again. Well I was wrong.
I was tracking down two ships that came up read for a second while I was in New Berlin. Luck had it that nearly everyone was running into Hamburg and with an LN tag it was a given. I caught the Cruise Liner class ship Alice's.Restaurant with a Liberty Rouge IFF carrying a shipment of Blood Diamonds and LR-Possibility.Legal , a Liberty Rouge also carrying Blood Diamonds. When I set my scanners to the Cruise liner, it picked up something much bigger.
A Liberty Dreadnaught!
I didn't even think about all the talks the other Freelancers and I had, not even to the consequences of what was to come. I hit the cruise engines and gave a system wide distress call. The LNS-Antarctica was loaded for bare, and was traveling on a course through the Northern rock fields in Hamburg. The Gunboat on patrol in Hamburg heard my communication and system alarms went off. It was too late to back down now. Grouping up with the pursuit lance, we went after to hunt down the Antarctica.
I paired up with the Cruiser as the bomber and Gunboat pair tracked the Liberty invader through Bering as it jumped into Hudson. I held position at the Jump hole in the system and we waited. Sure enough, the LNS-Antarctica headed straight for the gate to Huston I believe, but turned about and opened fire on the cruiser. After some time to close in, I targeted its massive engines to give the Cruiser some time to reform with the Gunboat and bomber that had made it into the system. It was already on top of the cruiser. I took my fighter along side the Dreadnaught's thruster control manifolds and rammed my ship into it, jamming it into an open position. The open directional thruster knocked the massive ship off course and gave the cruiser enough time to get at range. It wasn't long before the Dreadnaught Captain saw me as something more than an annoyance. Their entire anti fighter guns fired off and the first volley tore through my shields and hit the FireHawk's dorsal hull. I thrusted away, swerving behind the Antarctica's. engines, blocking most of their guns and giving the bots times to repair the hull. I spun around and opened fire on the only part of that massive ship my guns would have any effect on.
The gunboat and cruiser were taking hits from the local fighter patrols so I veered off to thin the numbers. Firing my cruise disrupters right at the engines to keep the Antarctica's movements as low as possible. The Cruiser attacked at range while the Gunboat came in close when the bomber and I took its attention off them. The Antarctica finally headed to the Texas system, Kent's home system. The Rheinland Cruiser Captain gave the Dreadnaught commander one last chance to surrender and he flat out rejected it. My scanners picked up a defensive patrol of a siege cruiser, two gun boats and their escorts heading towards us. I decided the battle would not be won with me attacking the Antarctica and flew straight at the patrol. I was able to distract the patrol long enough for our pursuit lance to down the Antarctica. In an aggressive falling back to Rheinland, the defensive patrol was taken down and we passed through back to Hamburg where we landed and had a small celebration.
I did the right thing, we did the right thing. Showing Liberty that even one citizen of Rheinalnd can make some difference in an otherwise on going war. From a distance I received a notification that myself and all my freelancers with an [FL] Tag are now enemies of Liberty. We'll see.
