I said it's bad when it's not backed up by proper roleplay and aims to showoff in an ooRP way.
F.E. Rip Red Rorry, while was annoying with constant unnecessary "bumps", did it with roleplay and it certain style. It was entertaining to follow his actions.
But there are some threads where only blue messages are stored, even links are named the same, without any effort or only snipped blue messages are uploaded and is aimed to express how many "kills" individual or group reached without any effort to roleplay.
Good, and you are here to explain us who can and who can not write to the communication channel.
What are you? a Judge??Congratulations.

Now now, I believe his point was to say that without some good Role Play, it seems as though its the person, not the character, that is bragging. But all speculations about such are completely on a personal basis. One person may see it as oorp bragging, others as character bragging.
i just will say that i was once post our topic to message dump but, i was think it would be logic but ..
one of moderator's move all our topic back to communication channel so..
snake ... no use... really so ... and yes let we see each other in a blue message and nothing say ...
its one reason for that... its not a flood and here on forum are a lot of people who just wait to flame someone here ...
probably someone will do that on my post now..;)

In seriousness, the posting of a blue message in a message dump is proof to leadership and fellow members of the faction that you're actually out doing things. I'm all for people posting RP as well.
Message dumps are like a Faction Diary, which have the added OORP function of providing the player base with an inner history for the faction and explanation for actions. (What a character says to the person he kills is probably different to what he says to his superior).
Message dumps therefore serve an ambassadorial role, and are a tool for recruitment. (People may find things they like in the faction or its philosophies, or simply want to join a busy faction).
I don't mind my faction posting blue messages. I told them they can go ahead a long time ago if they want. But....I want to read the story how those blue messages came about (mind you there are cases in which it's a continuation of something ongoing, well you know what I mean). Blue messages are just one of many results of an encounter, I want to know about the encounter too. On the flip side, if my guys had an encounter with enemies, I'm pretty happy when I see the evidence of them doing what they do.
That is called "building a reputation". Also, I quite like the conceit. Very flamboyant.
I was not saying whether or not I agree with the OP's assessment in regards to that post, just saying that particular thread is probably the sort of thing that he's referring to.
