Actually, that curse is for indie zoner powertraders mostly. I have to say that of all the tradeships I've flied, my TAZ bwt and whale are the ones which have been 'spared' the most time. This is one of all the fruits you can eat from the tree of RP... I don't know how it goes for OSI and Omicroners, but we TAZ get the green to go often, and by all sort of pirates (though most of them are factions which have had some RP with TAZ before).
As for @OP
I do not haul ores with my zoner guard whale... but I do not see the problem in hauling it with regular IDed BTWs. 'Zoner' sums up quite some people, and market profiters can be one of them, if there is supply from miners, demand from bases, and lack of haulers, you will always be able to find a zoner regular takin the occasional profit from it.
I just think the difference between guard id and regular here also makes a clear difference in rp situation's likelihood.
I actually prefer the need not to Pirate for cash and what not i ship ore maybe once or twice a week why ? because it has a nice payout and can like not trade for days on my budget otherwise.
Other then that i use my bwt for rp routes.
http://signavatar.com/15890_s.gif First: You've got a picture in there that's 800x286 pixels. The maximum signature size is 700x250.
Second: Your other picture in the rotation fills the full 700x250 boundaries by itself.
With an image that big, you can't fit any text below it. Please fix this.

A sane man must become insane to look sane
In an insane world.
By the way, the only ore I really have ever considered shipping in a Whale is Iridium. After that, I would consider Niobium from the Taus or possibly Silver from the Omegas. Personally, I would never ship gold in a Zoner transport unless I was part of the Virulean Enclave, and I would never haul to Liberty unless I was part of OSI. But that's just me.
' Wrote:Using a middleman isn't a decision. It's just a rounding exact ID restriction.
That restriction was made to reflect that Zoner Guard ships must serve Freeports and remote worlds, not to ship goods between house core systems.
There was a short time when many traders flew Zoner tags in order to get out of being pirated. That was when Zoners were considered neutral with most everyone; nowadays, I don't think that's the case anymore.
The rule was put in place to prevent Zoner whale spam, and naturally also to encourage more corporate trading. Nowhere does it say anything about who the Zoners must 'serve'. If the guy wants to haul ore, he's doing nothing wrong unless you specifically see him landing on a house base.
Just like with any pirate-trader encounter, there's some pretty lame people out there who will say anything to avoid paying you - treat them accordingly.
There is no issue with a Zoner hauling ore. It isn't against their lore or role play. I'm rather inactive, but as a leader of OSI, I brokered a few deals where OSI hauls ore for independent mining groups and the IMG.
Nor is hauling ore with a 5k transport and having a regular Zoner ID'd ship unload you a violation of the rules or spirit of the rules. This was cleared up ages ago, the administration said it is fine so long as the Zoner Guard ID doesn't dock.
