An alternate way I considered writing this was for the Profiteer and lone LN ship to encounter other players trapped in the abyss, form a small convoy and try to figure out what the hell was going on. They would have been ripped apart from each other in the end, but a little more hope then what ended up in the story. Would that have killed the tension?

I suppose, yes. But I noticed his two chars are an Outcast and a Smuggler. He obviously know how to write and do it well, and he's had enough experience here to know what he's doing. I originally meant that post to be sort of a joke, but also kind of serious, then I saw him actually looking at the 81 faction info page.. soo.. *shrugs* If he joins, it will be great and all, but if not that's fine to. I respect the ways of an indy. In fact, many of my chars are/were indies.
